Wie zijn wij?

Damen Schelde Naval Shipbuilding (DSNS) is part of the Damen Shipyards Group (DAMEN), a privately owned company, which consists of more than 30 shipyards and associated companies around the world.

Today, together with our sister companies we are continuously improving and expanding a complete range of naval and patrol vessels ranging from 7 to over 200 meters.

DSNS’s recent export successes are orders for four SIGMA corvettes delivered to the Indonesian Navy and three SIGMA frigates for the Royal Moroccan Navy which are under construction at the yard.

For the Royal Netherlands Navy we have four Patrol Ships under construction. Recently the construction started for a Joint Logistic Support Ship (JSS), the largest military vessel built by DSNS so far.

Damen Schelde Naval Shipbuilding (DSNS) specialises in the design and construction of naval vessels for its customers around the world. DSNS is a subsidiary of Damen Shipyards Group, the largest shipbuilding company in The Netherlands and leading in the industry at home and abroad.
We recently won the order from the Dutch government to build the Joint Logistic Support Ship, the largest naval ship ever built by our company.
We have a very full order book.

To reinforce our Engineering department we are looking to hire candidates for various positions: Sr. Engineers ( marine/ naval)

RESPONSABILITIES
In engineering and on the projects, the senior engineers are responsible for conducting complex calculations, drawing up integrated specifications for the ship and the ship's equipment/systems, instructing and supporting engineering colleagues with the development of drawings and plans, and designing various systems of the ship.
The senior engineers can best be described as "technicians that "dig into a complex piece of technology" without losing track of the project and commercial interests.

We are looking for senior engineers in the following fields:
Marine systems (design & specification of all mechanical engineering systems)
Naval & Structural (design & basic engineering)

PROFILE
University of Technology or Professional Education in Naval Architecture, Electrotechnology or (naval) mechanical engineering
Demonstrable analytical experience
Good reporting and specification experience
Naval/offshore experience
Good knowledge of the Dutch and English language
