Your new job | About your main responsibilities- Lead consulting engagements with clients to optimize their transportation management processes using best-in-class TMS platforms. This role requires a combination of deep expertise in TMS capabilities, a strong understanding of logistics and supply chain management, and the ability to manage and deliver complex consulting projects.
- Leading the technical- & functional TM workstreams by providing expert insights to team members focusing on overall solution design, integration and configuration. Manage client communication regarding technical feasibility and overall solution design through interviews, leading workshops, status updates, demo's and signing off business decisions.
- Consistently deliver quality client services, driving high-quality work products within the expected timeframes and on budget.
- Monitor progress, manage risk and ensure key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes.
- Drawing on your knowledge, skills and experience, you will build valued relationships with external clients and internal peers, support bids, proposals and thought leadership, and coach and support EY consultants and client team members to deliver sustainable business outcomes.
- Stay abreast of current business and industry trends relevant to the client's business as well as innovations in digital logistics, and the broader supply chain ecosystem.
The Supply Chain & Operations (SC&O) team, comprising approximately 45 professionals are dedicated to transforming and redesigning operations, supply chains, warehousing, (digital) logistics, and smart factories. Within these domains, the Logistics & Fulfilment team specializes in optimizing logistics and fulfilment operations, enhancing efficiency, and fostering sustainable growth. This is achieved by guiding organizations through comprehensive end-to-end logistics transformation programs—from strategy development to implementation.
Your officeOur Amsterdam office is located at the Zuidas: a bustling area full of companies. In our Cross Towers, we welcome up to 1,500 people every day. Your skills and strengths | About your unique contribution- A master’s degree (WO) in Supply Chain Management, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, with fluency in English.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in supply chain management and logistics, with at least 5 years of TMS consulting experience. This may include international or boutique consulting as well as consulting experience through an in-house consulting or transformation team within a larger organization.
- Demonstrated success in supporting and/or leading Blue Yonder TMS implementation and optimization projects.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients at all organizational levels.
- Strong project management, stakeholder management, and change management skills that allow you to deliver complex transformation projects within set boundaries.
- A commercial acumen that enables you to identify and develop high‑quality relationships, converting them into business opportunities and effectively selling consulting projects for sustained growth.
- Leadership experience with a people‑centric approach, committed to mentoring and developing team members in an international setting.
- An open and flexible mindset regarding international assignments and diverse projects within the supply chain.
- Blue Yonder TMS certification and additional certifications in supply chain or project management.
- Experience in developing and delivering logistics decarbonization programs for multinational clients.
- Proficiency in the Dutch language.
