You should have prior experience in:
ā¢Experience from Safety, Security and/or Compliance area
ā¢ Understanding of local/national laws and regulation.
ā¢ Self-reliant with a proven ability to work as part of a team as well as independently
ā¢ Ability to prioritise and organise own work in line with job responsibilities and agreed priorities
ā¢ Ability to strike a balance between keeping a good overview and paying good attention to detail
ā¢ Ability to communicate confidently and clearly with various audiences both verbally and in writing
ā¢ Knowledge on how to train and educate large groups
ā¢ Good analytical and numerical skills
ā¢ Retail and/or home furnishing experience
You should have knowledge of national/local legal demands connected to risk management, health, safety and security, relevant Risk Management and Safety & Security processes, tools and working methods according to work focus. You should understand Ingka Group Risk & Compliance Framework, the IKEA business and culture, customer needs to help the business to improve constantly. Good knowledge of the IKEA corporate identity, core values and vision of creating a better everyday life for the many people.
You should be a strong promoter of IKEA culture and values. You should be passionate for people, for the IKEA business, culture, and values, for establishing a Risk & Compliance aware culture in the unit, for achieving results through the organization. You should also possess the motivation to increase own Risk & Compliance knowledge and skills.

Your responsibilities
Your responsibility will be to deliver on the Risk and Compliance agenda to ensure a healthy working environment, where risks are mitigated and functions are supported in identifying, assessing and proactively handle those risks to ensure compliance with Ingka Rules and Local (country and regional) legislation.Your responsibility will include
ā¢ Promote risk management in the unit, informing and sharing expertise in order to develop riskaware decision taking in relation to unit goals and unit business plan.
ā¢ Support with expertise on Ingka Rules and Local (country and regional) legislation to secure a safe environment for customers and co-workers.
ā¢ Provide expertise on and plan for the proper trainings needed and facilitate for co-workers and external partners to meet IKEAs/Ingka's risk appetite.
ā¢ Support a Risk & Compliance culture by developing leadership and conscious approach in identifying and implementing systems to detect, analyse and reduce business loss, financial impact, prevent incidents and accidents.
ā¢ Ensure the reporting of relevant figures for eg co-workers, customer and visitors incidents to establish progress and areas for improvement.
ā¢ Ensures the safety and security of the people and property per local regulations
ā¢ Completes safety, security, and compliance audits and trainings
ā¢ Maintains critical safety equipment such as alarms, radios, and security systems
ā¢ Reports and follows up on incidents that occur
ā¢ Responds to and coordinates emergency situations in work areas such as burglar alarms, fire alarms, active shooter and other emergency events
