About the role

As a Front-End Lead you are responsible for organizing, managing and developing the front-end development team. You play an important role in translating technical requirements into concrete solutions and ensure that the team works efficiently and according to the highest quality standards. Together with the Delivery Manager, you design and plan the development of complex front-end user stories, using modern technologies such as Angular, NGRX, RXJS, and Spartacus by SAP.
What will you actually do as a Front-end Lead?
- Organize the activities of the frontend development team, ensuring adherence to standards and guidelines.
- Design and plan together with the Delivery Manager the development of complex frontend stories using Angular, NGRX, RXJS, and Spartacus by SAP.
- Ensure the team writes clean, efficient code with proper code coverage, following industry best practices.
- Coach, mentor, and support team members, conducting regular code reviews to maintain code quality.
- Working closely with cross-functional teams including Business Analysts Quality Assurance specialists.
- Analyze, debug, and resolve issues on live environments, ensuring system robustness, resilience, and stability.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest frontend development trends, tools, and technologies, and integrate them into our development processes where appropriate.
- Organize the activities of the team and rearrange the team roles according to the changing context.
- Have an understanding of the whole system and take responsibility for teaching this to others.
- Work with other teams to support all phases that precede and follow software development.
- Be responsible for the growth of your team.
You will work within the Technology Online Business department at our head office in Renswoude. The Kruidvat and Trekpleister web shops and apps receive millions of visitors. Together you bring the digital projects and changes in the field of eCommerce to life.

- Quite important: a good salary! The starting salary for this position is between € 4.000,- and € 6.000,- gross per month for a 40-hour working week.

This is you
- A degree in Information Technology or a related field and a minimum of 1 year experience in a similar job role.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience of working in eCommerce projects.
- Strong understanding of Angular, NGRX, RXJS, and Spartacus commerce cloud by SAP.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Experience with asynchronous request handling, SSR, CCR, and REST APIs.
- Familiarity with CSS pre-processing platforms (e.g., LESS and SASS) and version control systems.
- Knowledge of Java server-side programming technologies (e.g., JSP) is a plus.
- Project management capabilities will be required.
- You live in the Netherlands.
- Fluent in English and basic knowledge of Dutch language.
