You will lead the vision, roadmap, and execution of our integration strategy, ensuring seamless connectivity between systems, data, and business processes. Through your expertise, you empower teams with integration knowledge, tools, and training, while playing a key role in aligning technology with business needs.
About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and visionary IT Enterprise Architect specializing in Application Integration to join our international IT Enterprise Architecture team. This role blends strategic Enterprise Architecture responsibilities with Product Ownership of our integration platforms. In this role you report to the Manager Enterprise Architecture.
You will:
- Develop & Maintain the Integration Vision - Define the BAM-wide enterprise integration architecture, ensuring it aligns with business objectives. Maintain integration roadmaps and documentation in the Enterprise Architecture repository.
- Own the Integration Platform - Act as the Product Owner, overseeing functional management of the integration team (±15 FTE).
- Engage Stakeholders - Collaborate with internal and external partners to define, prioritize, and execute the integration strategy. Your ability to communicate and align different teams is essential.
- Ensure Robust & Scalable Integration - Oversee integration patterns, messaging, API management, IoT data/event streaming, and file transfers, ensuring security, efficiency, and scalability.
- Lead Agile Execution - Prepare and drive Program Increment (PI) planning and maintain an agile product roadmap, balancing business needs with technical feasibility.
- Innovate & Optimize - Stay ahead of industry trends and best practices, continuously enhancing our integration solutions.
- Solve Complex Challenges - Address and resolve integration issues to ensure uninterrupted operations.

As an IT Enterprise Architect - Integration, you are more than just a technical expert-you are a strategic thinker, a problem solver, and a connector who ensures that BAM's digital ecosystem runs smoothly. You have the vision to define the integration strategy, the leadership to guide teams, and the technical expertise to implement cutting-edge solutions. Here's what makes you the perfect fit for this role:
- Enterprise Architecture Expertise - 10+ years of experience in Enterprise Architecture, including process modeling, data management, and hands-on experience with enterprise architecture frameworks and tools. A consultancy background is preferred.
- Product Ownership Experience - 5+ years as a Product Owner (or similar role) focused on integration technologies with expertise in Agile and SAFe methodologies.
- Technical Knowledge - Strong understanding of integration patterns and platforms. Experience with eMagiz, Microsoft, and SAP integration technologies is a plus.
- Agile Leadership - Proven ability to lead and execute PI planning sessions and drive Agile implementation.
- Strong Communication & Leadership Skills - Ability to translate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving Mindset - Analytical thinker with a proactive approach to integration challenges.
- Education - Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Computer Science, IT, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Language - Native Dutch speaker with fluent English proficiency.
- Location - You reside in the Netherlands, with Bunnik as the designated work location for this role.
- Flexibility - Some international travel is expected, since you will work closely with BAM UK & Ireland.
