👩💻 Your impact

As an Accounts Payable Accountant, you will be at the heart of our financial operations, ensuring that every transaction is accurate, timely, and compliant. Your role is critical because it keeps the entire business moving, suppliers are paid on time, our financial records remain reliable, and trust is maintained both internally and externally.

Day to day, you will manage the full invoice process, from receiving and verifying invoices to matching them with purchase orders in our ERP system. When discrepancies arise, you’ll investigate and collaborate with colleagues to resolve them quickly, preventing delays and safeguarding our financial integrity. You’ll also handle accruals for goods and services not yet invoiced, prepare VAT returns, and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure everything aligns perfectly.

This position is more than just processing numbers; it’s about creating stability in a fast‑paced environment and enabling growth. By meeting deadlines and maintaining accuracy, you’ll provide the foundation for automation projects and process improvements, giving you the chance to contribute to system upgrades and expand your expertise. 🔧 What you’ll take on

• Process and verify supplier invoices, matching them with purchase orders in QAD ERP.
• Investigate discrepancies and collaborate with colleagues to resolve issues.
• Record accruals for goods/services received but not yet invoiced.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns accurately and on time.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and ensure alignment with accounts payable records.
• Monitor deadlines and ensure all invoices are booked before month-end.
• Support annual audits and contribute to process improvements.
• Collaborate internally and externally to resolve queries and maintain strong relationships.

📌 What you bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work structured in an unstructured environment.
• Proactive mindset, you don’t wait for problems to elevate and actively address issues in time.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and communicate early about deadlines or issues.
• (Preferred) ERP experience (QAD is a plus), solid Microsoft Office skills.
• Fluent in English; Dutch is preferred.
