Your role

As an Intern Tax at MediaMarkt Benelux, you will have the opportunity to play a crucial role in supporting our tax processes. Under the guidance of experienced professionals, you will work on various tax returns, financial analyses, and tax reports. This is your chance to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic, international environment and further develop yourself in the tax field.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Supporting the collection and processing of financial data for various tax returns, such as VAT and corporate income tax.
• Analyzing and identifying potential inaccuracies in the financial administration.
• Contributing to the preparation of tax reports and supporting tax-related registrations.
• Assisting in the preparation of budgets and forecasts in the tax domain in collaboration with different teams.
• Supporting documentation and archiving processes in compliance with applicable tax laws.

Additionally, you will:

• Identify bottlenecks in work processes and propose potential improvements.
• Actively communicate with various departments to keep them informed about tax regulations and processes.
• Ensure tax integrity and minimize tax risks within our organization.

Your profile

You are an enthusiastic, eager-to-learn student or starter with an interest in taxation. In addition, you have:

• An advanced stage of an HBO or university degree in Business Economics, Fiscal Economics, or Accountancy.
• Basic knowledge of tax laws and regulations.
• Good command of the Dutch and English languages.
• Interest in working with financial systems; knowledge of SAP is a plus.
• An eye for detail and a proactive attitude.
