From the luxurious yet accessible décor to the fully equipped kitchens, living areas, and bathrooms, our hotel is designed for comfort and inspiration. Beyond the flats, our lobby serves as a social hub-a space to work, relax, or meet up with friends. Guests can also unwind in our modern gym and sauna, making The July Twenty Eight the perfect place to recharge.
The Job
As a Guest Service Supervisor, your mission is to exceed guest expectations at every turn. You'll guide our Front Office team, motivate them with your enthusiasm, and lead by example to ensure every guest experience is memorable. From check-ins and special requests to delightful surprises like delivering a birthday cake or a guest's favorite newspaper, you'll be at the heart of creating those "WOW" moments.
Your role goes beyond guests-you'll also be the go-to person for your team. You'll coach and inspire them to deliver creative, top-tier service, while handling key responsibilities such as scheduling, mentoring interns, conducting performance reviews, and overseeing the monthly financial closure.

A Typical Day
Your day begins with a handover meeting, discussing the latest updates and upcoming tasks. You review the day's check-ins, special guest requests, and any opportunities to go above and beyond. With your deep knowledge of Amsterdam, you're always ready to recommend the best local spots or hidden gems. Throughout your shift, you'll guide the team in delivering exceptional service, ensuring guests feel at home from the moment they arrive. Building relationships with long-term guests is key, as we pride ourselves on creating a welcoming atmosphere that feels like a home away from home.

As a Guest Service Supervisor, you are the 'go-to person' for the guest and the Front Office team. To take our hospitality to a higher level, we ask the following of you:
- You are a natural host. Asking something is not necessary; you've already done it;
- You have a sparkling personality and can't wait to start;
- You have good communication skills. In English as well;
- You are an inspiring and supportive coach for your colleagues;
- You are always one step ahead. With a proactive mindset, you find solutions before you even ask the question.
- You are available full-time;
- You are flexible in your working hours between 07:00-15:00 and 15:00-23:00 hrs;
- You know Amsterdam inside out. The newest places? Tried and tested!;
- You have experience with front office tasks!
