About the role
As a Transaction Monitoring Analyst, you will be presented with transactions that have alerted on a customer's account. Using information about the customer and expected transactions you will analysis and investigate these transactions to decide whether the transactions are potentially suspicious for money laundering or terrorist financing.
What do you need to bring to the role
- The ability to digest information, analyse this and extract the relevant and important elements to determine a conclusion.
- Critical thinking.
- Strong judgement and decision-making skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Great communication skills including report writing and making phone calls to customers.
- Ability to follow processes while identifying potential improvements.
Ideally you would also have
- Understanding of Anti Money Laundering and Counter Terrorist Financing regulations.
- Knowledge of red flags in relation to bank transactions.
- A relevant qualification e.g., ACAMS or sufficient working experience in the banking or related sector.
