Logistics Team Leader

How you contribute as a Warehouse Team Leader
You elevate your team to a higher level and meet customer expectations. You do this by coaching your team members one-on-one and analyzing their performance. This enables you to optimize processes seamlessly and identify bottlenecks. Additionally, you provide work instructions and further develop your team while also addressing ad-hoc queries from our customer. You work from Monday to Friday in day shift.
You directly lead up to 10-15 Warehouse Operators in our Inbound department for an entirely new process. As a Team Leader, you make your colleagues work more efficiently by:
- Gaining insight into which processes are running smoothly and identifying bottlenecks. You record the performance level of your colleagues and ensure they undergo training.
- Creating reports and extracting results from the warehouse management system.
- Ensuring safety on our work floor.
- Discussing improvement proposals with the Operations Manager, Shift Manager, and keeping your fellow Team Leaders informed.
- You organize your team, meaning you:
- Coach your team members, taking into account their ambitions and developments.
- Conduct performance and appraisal interviews.
- Handle absenteeism/reintegration and other conversations.
- Ensure the right staffing.
- Schedule training hours and maintain hours registration and personnel mutations.
Your talents as a Warehouse Team Leader
In summary, you excel in communication (including in English), stand firm, and are stress-resistant. With these qualities, you can lead your team and bring out the best in them. You keep a cool head while managing your team and achieving your targets. You are a rational thinker, and as a Warehouse Team Leader, you also have:
- Vocational education level (MBO+) or higher education level (HBO).
- At least three years of experience as a team leader, working foreman, or supervisor.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs (such as Excel and PowerPoint) and warehouse management systems, enabling you to create reports and analyses.
- A lot of energy and positivity to establish a new process.
