We are now looking for 3 Software Engineers to our Technology & Platform team at IMC IKEA Marketing & Communication Team in Älmhult. Do you want to join us?
Job descriptionAs a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-quality software solutions. You will apply industry standards for software engineering to support development, maintenance, and rapid, continuous software deliveries. Full stack Development. Cloud Back-End Infrastructure. Testing and Deployments
Your responsibility and tasks will be to:
- Develop and maintain software code for the assigned technology domain, platform, or product.
- Produce tested, ready-to-deploy, maintainable code that supports business needs according to agreed plans and budgets, following architectural principles, security requirements, best practices, and interoperability standards.
- Execute software development tasks in line with the business plan and specified architecture as directed by the Solution and Enterprise Architects for the Digital Product Area/Platform.
- Work within agile teams to contribute to the development and maintenance of products and solutions within your technology domain.
- Continuously develop and enhance standards and working processes, as well as explore and integrate new technologies to drive innovation and productivity.
- Ensure a thorough understanding of each user story and its expected outcome. Seek additional details from the Digital Product Leader or Architect when necessary.
- Collaborate closely with other software engineers and functions to produce required design documentation and ensure solutions are cohesive and meet business needs. Aim to continuously improve overall productivity, componentization, and simplicity of the code.
- Oversee various solutions developed within your technology domain, contribute to code reviews to ensure technical feasibility, scalability, and reusability.
- Maintain proper technical documentation and actively share knowledge with others.
Qualification
We believe you have an extensive understanding of the interdependencies both within and outside the organization and of the technical drivers, business needs and non-functional requirements. You understand digital technologies/trends, industry standards, application and infrastructure market, and digital practices with potential to benefit or impact IKEA. You will also need:
- Strong analytical skills and ability to troubleshoot data-related issues.
- Experience working in equal or comparable position for at least 3 years
- Experience with agile ceremonies and ways of working
- Excellent in programming, preferably in several programming languages: such as c#, Python, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Experience with containerized platforms as docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with cloud platforms as Azure
- Experience with version control/Git and CI/CD
- Preferred: Knowledge of IKEA Brand, culture, values and way of working
