The role
As a Manufacturing Engineer at Damen Naval, you'll specialize in structures, pipefitting, or outfitting. You'll ensure the availability of necessary parts and tools as well as creating a plan and design the production steps. You'll set up and adjust processes as needed. You'll oversee compliance with quality and safety standards.
Depending on your specialization, you'll provide technical support to production staff. You'll ensure clear communication within the team and organization. You'll focus on improving efficiency and effectiveness. You'll optimize machine arrangement, workflows, and team collaboration. You'll ensure smoother and faster production.
Key accountabilities
As a Manufactauring Engineer, your key responsibilities will include:
Provide detailed work instructions and engineering information packages.
Keep track of Material Take-Off (MTO).
Prepare production drawings and specifications for outsourcing.
Manage raw material orders and quality checks.
Monitor and optimize production workflow.
Identify and propose improvements to management.
Work within established time, budget, and quality frameworks.
Skills & experience
To excel as a Manufacturing Engineer, you should possess the following qualifications and qualities:
5+ years of relevant experience, preferably with manufacturing big (offshore) installations.
Level 4 of Secondary Vocational Education (MBO-4) in Mechanical Engineering.
Understanding of all production phases and experience with software like SAP, 3DX, Teamcenter, and Cadmatic/Inventor.
Proficiency in Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
Excellent references antecedents as a pre-employment security screening is standard part of the recruitment procedure.
- Permanent EU citizenship and passport are both required. Candidates with EU (work) visa or with both an EU and non-EU nationality and/or passport are not eligible in accordance with the requirements imposed by the military nature of our projects.
