Grid congestion, carbon emissions, gas prices... It's pretty much impossible to check the news these days and not read something about the current energy crisis. We say current, because with the help of this amazing start-up, those problems will soon be a thing of the past. Are you ready to speed up the energy transition?
Definitely, but what can I do to help?
This corporate-backed start-up is looking to shake up the energy markets and keep things moving forward. They've come up with a great solution to a problem almost every company (and person) is dealing with right now. By creating local energy markets where businesses can exchange resources, they are reducing dependence on the national power grid and the use of fossil fuels. Imagine being able to tap into your neighbor's solar panels when you need to do laundry, rather than paying full price on the open market. It's basically that, but for businesses. See where this is going yet? Exactly, energy trading at a local level.
Sounds awesome, but I'm still not sure how I can help
As a Golang Developer, you will be working together with a team of seasoned software engineers to build a high-performance AI-based energy trading platform. As a team, you will be designing, deploying and maintaining a cloud-native distributed system, implementing new features, and optimizing performance of the trading system.
Curious about the tech stack? Here's a nice scannable list of some of the things you'll be working with:
- Golang (No experience? No problem - C++ or Rust is also fine)
- Docker and Kubernetes
- AWS
- Data stuff like Kafka
That's me! But do I get anything in return?
Besides the opportunity to help solve one of the biggest problems we're facing today, you'll be rewarded handsomely for your work. They offer a base salary up to € 85.000 gross a year, plenty of vacation days, flexible hybrid working, an extremely skilled team of colleagues, and one of the most modern tech stacks you'll find at a Dutch start-up.
