As a member of our SAP Platform team, you will work on challenging, high-impact projects within a supportive and dynamic team. You play an important role in driving innovation and system efficiency. Stimulating and enabling co-developers in our DevOps teams to follow SAP’s ‘clean core’ principles and maximize their developer experience. But you also;
- Guide technical teams in adopting new tools, frameworks, and architectural patterns while driving innovation and knowledge-sharing.
- Proactively identify areas of improvement in the IT landscape and drive innovation through proof-of-concepts and pilot projects for new tools and methodologies.
- Adopt a critical and exploratory mindset, with a sharp eye for detail and a focus on delivering high-quality solutions.
- Contribute to our SAP Architectural Guidelines and guide our development teams to adopt these guidelines to ensure extensibility and integration occurs in a standardized way.
- Create enablement materials, including technical documentation, walkthrough guides, code samples, and best practices.
- Accelerate in fast-changing environments and constantly stay up-to-date of emerging SAP technologies and DevOps practices.
- 09:00-09:15: Daily stand-up where the team shares updates on current development tasks, raises blockers, and aligns on upcoming priorities.
- 10:30-11:30: Alignment session with the Product Owner and SAP Architect in which you jointly discuss the potential approaches for system performance monitoring.
- 12:00-12:45: Team lunch in our Food Café to enjoy a fresh meal.
- 14:00-15:30: Retrospective session where you reflect on the current sprint with the team and product owner by sharing experiences and ensuring continuous improvement.
- 16:00-17:00: Review and provide feedback on code written by team members to ensure adherence to best practices and maintain system performance.
The SAP Platform team is positioned within Jumbo’s IT Platform domain. This domain consists of several platform teams, responsible for provisioning a diversity of platform components and building blocks. Your agile team consists of multiple SAP developers, a consultant, a scrum master, a product owner and a lead engineering.

We are looking for a Senior SAP developer with a passion for his or her profession, who values code’s quality and creates topnotch products. You enjoy working in an agile-based team. You do not wait for things to happen, you make things happen. You have a passion for software development in the widest sense and love sharing it with your colleagues. In your role as a Senior SAP Developer, you also have:
- More than 5 years of experience as a SAP developer, Amongst others the following technologies: ABAP, CDS, OData, Fiori, Restful ABAP Programming Model (RAP) and SAP BTP.
- Good understanding of SAP’s ‘clean core’ principles and the options on S/4 HANA On-Premise, as well as extensibility options on SAP BTP.
- Knowledge of SAP BTP DevOps portfolio (CI/CD, Cloud Transport management).
- Ability to quickly develop an in-depth understanding of Jumbo as organization, its business processes, and IT landscape tools.
- A proactive attitude in identifying areas of improvement and resolving impediments within the current IT landscape.
- Strong stakeholder management skills - bridging technical gaps between development, operations, and security teams for seamless solution delivery.
- Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- A gross salary between €4,800 and €6,200 per month (based on 40 hours).
- An annual bonus of up to 7.5% of your annual salary based on organizational goals.
- 30 vacation days (with the option to buy or sell days) and 8% holiday allowance. You’ll build up a pension through the industry pension fund for the food sector.
- A travel allowance (€0.21 per kilometer, with a maximum of 35 kilometers one way). While we enjoy working together at the office, you can also work partly from home.
- A varied lunch at our Food Café, good coffee, and fresh fruit. For a small fee, you can work out in our Jumbo Gym.
