About the job
As a Category Manager Telecom, you will join our Category Management team, based at our HQ in Rotterdam. You will play a critical role in optimizing our Telecom procurement strategy, ensuring we leverage the best technologies while maintaining cost efficiency and strong vendor relationships. You'll be responsible for the end-to-end category management of Telecom hardware. Your expertise will guide decision-making processes, drive contract negotiations, and support our digital transformation. Furthermore your key responsibilities are:
- Develop and execute Telecom procurement strategies that align with the company's goals and technology roadmap of the vendors.
- Manage the Telecom (Hardware) category.
- Conduct market research and benchmarking to identify trends, cost-saving opportunities, and innovations.
- Lead vendor selection, negotiation, and contract management to ensure optimal value, quality, and risk mitigation.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as finance, legal, online and our stores to understand business needs and align procurement strategies.
- Monitor vendor performance, ensuring compliance with contract terms.
- Analyze spend data and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement within the Telecom category based on Customer Journeys.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers, fostering strategic partnerships and ensuring continuous alignment with business needs.
- Develop and maintain promotion and pricing strategy; to guarantee best offers for our customers.
Who are you?
Next to being a nice colleague to work with you have:
- Bachelor's or Master degree in Marketing or Business Management or equivalent experience.
- Proven track record in Category Management or Procurement.
- Proven experience in negotiating complex contracts and managing supplier relationships.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, forecast trends, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Goal-oriented mindset keeping the ultimate goal in mind.
- Fluent in English and Dutch (the language to report work is Dutch).
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to communicate, influence and build relationships effectively at all levels.
- Strong personal organization, self-motivated & ability to work to deadlines and under pressure.
