We are looking for a Country Controller who combines first-class analytical skills with a creative, problem-solving mindset. You don’t just execute finance tasks—you take ownership, challenge the status quo, and have a healthy appetite for calculated risks—an enabler, not a blocker!
As a key player in our Controlling team, you’ll lead the Dutch finance domain while supporting our NL, DE, and FR markets. Acting as the main finance contact for NL business teams, you’ll work closely with Finance Operations, Group Controllers, and Analysts to deliver impactful financial reporting that drives strategic decisions. From managing the entire Dutch balance sheet and P&L to presenting key insights directly to senior leadership, including the CFO, you’ll play a pivotal role in building a scalable, data-driven finance function.
Tricks of the trade
- **End-to-end ownership: Oversee the Dutch balance sheet and P&L, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financials
- Financial advice: Provide oversight and financial advice on the NL Finance topics
- Collaboration: Work closely with different business teams on making our numbers accurate and complete
- Reporting: Challenge our operations teams in their periodic reports
- Hands-on: Show hands-on mentality in our daily finance operations
- Process leadership: Lead improvement projects regarding our internal processes and controls
- Audit support: Support in year-end and audit tasks
Your superpowers
- Master’s degree in Finance, Economics and/or Accounting
- 4+ years of experience in a Controlling, FP&A, Financial Due Diligence, or similar roles
- Strong analytical skills, structured and accurate
- Strong analytical mindset with a hands-on approach - you’re willing to roll up your sleeves
- Excellent MS Excel and data analysis skills
- Fluency in English, both verbal and written. Fluency in Dutch, German or French is advantageous.
- Accounting system knowledge (Workday is a plus)
