Your tasks
In this exciting position we are looking for an experienced Controller with the following key responsibilities:
- Lead the development and usage of costing and profitability solutions to drive profitable growth.
- Advise senior management (on Global and country level) and act as a subject matter expert on costing, profitability, operational efficiency, and data quality.
- Lead Business Controlling with focus on costing and direct operating costs.
- Implement and standardize productivity reporting.
- Develop CO2 allocation methodology.
- Develop a road map to enhance country costing solutions.
- Design and maintain a financial framework.
- Ensure cost allocations, financial reporting, and incentive systems support decision making and meet the needs of users across all regions and business units.
- Continuously improve direct and operational costs controlling and drive performance improvements through strong collaboration with countries / Global Business Services and through the usage of central programs
- Support and drive development of cross-functional decision-making tools and methodologies.
- Produce and manage accurate and consistent monthly direct costs financial, volume and productivity data.
- Provide finance and controlling direction and advisory support for operational projects and programs.
- Identify user training needs and act as custodian of costing data quality.
- Ensure buy-in with CFOs and other stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Deliver documentation & business requirements statements for P/L reporting, cost allocation mechanisms, financial planning, and cost analysis.
Our requirements
- University degree, preferably in Business Administrations, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Information Technology or similar
- Long-lasting experience in Costing, Business Controlling (focus Operations) or Business Consulting within network-based business models
- Solid experience in cost analysis and performance improvements
- Track record in designing a financial simulation tool.
- Experience in designing international operating models for finance operations.
- Strong project management skills based on profound experience in complex / large scale program / project management.
- Experience in business document writing (esp. Senior management presentations), business case calculation, business requirement statements.
- Proven track record in stakeholder management, incl. Top Executives and in consensus building with stakeholders in functional teams and countries.
- Strong analytical skills, planning and decision-making competencies and proven experience in resolving complex cross-functional challenges.
- Creative, inventive, and able to think "out of the box.
- Self-starter, goal driven, high performer.
- Provide high level of flexibility and willingness to travel to conduct assessments in regions and engage with local stakeholders.
- MS Office, beneficial Power BI, Tableau, SAP (CREST), ERP systems
- Fluency in English, additionally fluency in German preferrable
