WB Transformation office
The WB Transformation Officer, reporting to the Head of Wholesale Banking, was established to lead change in three areas:
Leading digital transformation to improve the digital experience for colleagues and clients, and future-proof our organization. Ensuring our product range meets customer needs and updating our portfolio efficiently. Executing an effective originate-to-distribute strategy to optimize capital allocation.
The WB TO team, consisting of around 200 colleagues, integrates roles related to digitalization, change, regulation, customer data, and capital deployment, structured into the following departments: Capital Distribution, Risk Models, Transformation Management, Customer Data Management, and Digital Delivery Management.
Digital Delivery Management Team
As part of WB TO, the Digital Delivery Management team is pivotal in realizing our digital delivery goals and enhancing customer and employee experiences. The team drives the WB Digital ambition to enable seamless delivery of products, solutions, and services that matter most to our colleagues and customers. The Digital Delivery Management team is responsible for:
Setting and communicating the 'WB digital ambition' Managing the 'Value Stream Digital' Delivering 'digital (product-agnostic) capabilities' to enable digitalization across products Driving digital innovation within the WB organization Promoting and facilitating digital adoption across the WB organization
Your role and work environment
The Digital Delivery Team/ Tribe Digital consist of 3 Product Areas each consisting of multiple squads that build and maintain generic digital capabilities together with engineers from WB tech. Next to that the Tribe has 4 so called Centres of Expertise (COE) are built around experts that are driving digitalization across the Wholesale Bank.
Within the Digital team, the Centre of Expertise (CoE) for Digital Innovation focuses on identifying and integrating innovative technologies, conduct market research, engage stakeholders, optimize future adoption, ensure compliance, and represent the bank externally, all with the goal of driving strategic innovation and positioning the bank for future success in the digital landscape. This team focuses on long-term digital strategy, innovation, and preparing the organization for future technological advancements, ensuring the bank remains at the forefront of digital transformation.
Your key responsibilities are
As a CoE Lead, your responsibilities include:
- Reporting to the Global Head of Digital Delivery Management.
- Driving a customer-centric culture by guiding teams to prioritize and enhance customer experience.
- Contributing expertise to realize the purpose of one or more Tribes from the client's perspective.
- Strengthening the ING One Agile Way of Working while upholding the Orange Code.
- Managing personal development and evaluating Expertise Team members.
- Facilitating, supporting, and motivating the Expertise Team.
- Establishing guidelines for expert deployment assignments.
- Periodically recalibrating team member deployment.
- Fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Scouting and evaluating digital technologies, researching industry trends, and understanding customer needs.
- Representing the bank at industry events and advising on market data for strategic decisions.
- Creating business cases for Fintech opportunities and securing endorsement for scaling solutions.
- Managing a portfolio of Fintech initiatives that support seamless digital delivery.
- Building relationships with external partners and supporting Fintech implementation
- Support implementation with Proof of Concept (PoC) setup, run risk assessments, and guide onboarding of Fintech partners.
- Handover Fintech initiatives to delivery teams for implementation and deployment across ING WB.
Key Capabilities/Experience
- Education: Holds a master degree.
- Experience: Has at least 5-8 years in the field of digital strategy, innovation, or related roles within large organizations.
- Knowledge: Knowledge on technologies that will shape the banking industry and commitment to continuous learning and staying current with industry developments.
- Leadership: Demonstrates strong leadership skills to inspire and develop high-performing teams.
- Agile Mindset: An agile and entrepreneurial mindset.

- Leadership: Proven track record of developing and executing long-term digital transformation strategies.
- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging and influencing stakeholders at all levels.

- Implementation: Proficiency in project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
- Experience in wholesale banking or financial services industry is a plus.
