Job Summary:
As the Destination Activities Manager, reporting to the Head of MOOV Rotterdam Office, you will lead the destination coordination team, ensuring smooth cargo handling, timely deliveries, and exceptional customer service. You will manage customer relationships, resolve escalations, and oversee compliance with EU transportation and customs regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee end-to-end destination activities for inbound shipments.
- Act as the primary customer contact, ensuring timely communication and service excellence.
- Lead issue resolution and manage escalations to meet client expectations.
- Collaborate with internal teams (documentation, transport, and IT) to improve service delivery.
- Ensure compliance with EU transport regulations, customs requirements, and environmental standards.
- Analyse operational performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Train and mentor team members to enhance operational effectiveness.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field; Master’s preferred.
• 5+ years of logistics coordination or customer service experience, preferably within the EU.
• Strong knowledge of EU transport and customs regulations.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in logistics software (TMS, WMS); familiarity with control tower solutions is a plus.
• Fluency in English; additional European languages are an advantage.
