Your mission
As a Product Owner, you will be responsible for improving our platform and developing new features that enhance efficiency and user experience. You will balance customer needs, business goals, and technical possibilities, ensuring continuous product growth.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Identify and prioritize improvements and new features that add value for users and the company.
- Manage the product backlog and refine tasks in our project management tool (ClickUp).
- Translate customer and stakeholder feedback into clear user stories and action points.
- Collaborate with developers and cross-functional teams to turn ideas into functional solutions.
- Ensure smooth communication and collaboration between all stakeholders, from team members to external partners.
- Monitor project progress and quality, including performing final quality checks (QA).
- Develop and maintain a product roadmap aligned with the company's strategic goals.
- Continuously seek ways to optimize processes and enhance the user experience.
What you need to succeed
- You have an HBO-level education or relevant work experience, with 3-5 years of experience as a Product Owner.
- You are flexible and can manage multiple projects simultaneously, focusing on different aspects of product development.
- You have an analytical mindset and can translate data and customer insights into well-thought-out decisions and priorities.
- You are enthusiastic, driven, and ready to take an active role in shaping our journey.
- You excel at identifying the needs of both new and existing customers, translating them into valuable product improvements.
- You enjoy working in a team and value open communication and collaboration.
- You have experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and know how to participate effectively in sprints and team ceremonies.
- You have strong communication skills in both Dutch and English, and you can clearly convey ideas to various stakeholders.
- You have technical insight, allowing you to communicate easily with developers about topics such as user stories and APIs.
- You are results-oriented and driven to create measurable value for customers and the organization.
- You are proactive in identifying and resolving bottlenecks in the product development process.

What does the team look like?
We work with a small, close-knit team of three developers: one based in the Netherlands and two in Romania. The current Product Manager of ParcelParcel will support you in fulfilling the Product Owner role effectively. You will have the opportunity to shape this role yourself, without being thrown in at the deep end right away.
How do we work?
We value efficiency, keeping meetings to a minimum while maintaining a daily stand-up and a biweekly retrospective.
Instead of endless estimation sessions, we use guestimations to keep moving forward quickly.
Clear and direct communication is key for us; we use Slack to resolve questions efficiently.
We prioritize developing a small MVP, testing it thoroughly before planning a larger rollout. Learning by doing is our motto.
