As an Employment Tax Specialist at DHL Group in the Netherlands, you will serve as an important resource for national and international wage tax and social security matters. This role involves acting as the primary contact for internal clients across various divisions in the Netherlands, as well as colleagues from international locations. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing both solicited and unsolicited advice on wage tax and social security issues.
- Engaging in strategic tax planning to ensure compliance with wage tax regulations for the (Dutch) DHL Group.
- Identifying and implementing opportunities for wage tax efficiencies within the organization.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to guide and support projects that involve wage tax considerations.
- Conducting audits to identify areas of non-compliance and developing solutions or negotiating settlements.
- Proposing and executing relevant policies and procedures to enhance compliance and efficiency.
- Provide advice on wage tax and social security matters.
- Manage tax risks related to wage tax and social security effectively.
- Identify tax opportunities and risks, ensuring they are addressed professionally.
- Foster and maintain relationships with tax authorities, external advisors, and internal clients to build a trusting environment
- Support international colleagues on wage tax issues related to cross-border operations impacting Dutch business units or employees, while refraining from offering personal tax advice.

We are looking for an experienced Employment Tax Specialist to join our team, bringing a strong foundation in tax law and a wealth of relevant experience in an international corporate setting. The successful candidate will demonstrate a deep understanding of Dutch tax legislation and possess the analytical skills necessary to navigate complex tax issues effectively. Proficiency in both
Dutch and English
is essential for effective communication within our diverse environment.- A degree in Tax Law or a related field, with a minimum of 4 years of experience as an employment tax specialist.
- In-depth knowledge of Dutch tax legislation and regulations, coupled with strong analytical abilities.
- Customer-oriented with a professional demeanor and a genuine passion for tax, along with solid people management skills.
- Adaptable and capable of independently managing workload while providing accurate ad hoc reporting and fostering cross-border relationships.
