You will become part of the Global Digital team, an international group with a clear goal: to increase the e-commerce sales share from 26% to 30% within the next two years. Since the majority of global revenue comes from retail, and we're talking about a 10+ billion revenue, it's an exciting challenge. The Role: Global Head of E-commerce Performance
As the Global Head of E-commerce Performance, you are responsible for optimizing the key commercial drivers of e-commerce activities on an international level. You ensure that the fundamental principles of e-commerce-such as assortment, availability, and pricing optimization-are continuously improved. In this role, you will closely collaborate with local e-commerce teams in various countries and act as a strategic driver of e-commerce growth within the group.
The focus of this role is on improving e-commerce performance across different countries. You ensure that assortment, availability, and pricing (together with the pricing specialist) are leveraged optimally to maximize both sales and margins. By analyzing data and gaining insights from different markets, you develop strategic optimizations and work closely with local teams and suppliers to seize commercial opportunities.
Additionally, you play a key role in implementing best practices and establishing an international e-commerce community. Within the first few months, you will gain a deep understanding of the organization and its different markets. You will build strong relationships with the e-commerce teams in each country and identify the biggest areas for improvement. After six months, you will have not only defined concrete initiatives but also begun their implementation. These initiatives may include optimizing category performance, strengthening B2B sales, and increasing the impact of private label products.
Your responsibilities
- E-commerce sales optimization: Continuously improving assortment, availability, pricing, and margins across different countries.
- Data-driven decision-making: Developing initiatives based on international insights and best practices to enhance e-commerce performance.
- Stakeholder management: Collaborating with local e-commerce teams, suppliers, and internal departments to capitalize on commercial opportunities.
- Category optimization: Analyzing sales performance per product category across different countries and implementing improvement strategies.
- Inventory management: Introducing more efficient processes to optimize stock management.
- Community management: Actively engaging with e-commerce teams in seven countries to gather feedback and drive improvement initiatives.
- Boosting B2B sales and optimizing private label product performance.
- New initiatives and innovations: Implementing best practices from other markets and identifying new commercial optimization opportunities.
What we're looking for in the new Global Head of E-commerce Performance:
- At least 7 years of experience in a retail e-commerce environment, with strong knowledge of omnichannel strategies.
- Experience with pricing, sales, and margin optimization.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex datasets into actionable commercial improvements.
- Experience in stakeholder management within an international context.
- Decisive, commercially driven, and hands-on mentality.
- Ability to operate independently; no direct team for the first 1.5 years, but significant responsibility for optimization and strategy.
