Functional Application Manager - IT Operations

As a Functional Application Manager, you will ensure the continuity and quality of Simpel's IT systems so our customers get the best experience every day. You'll collaborate with a variety of people, including your teammates in Customer Experience Management (CEM), Simpel's business and IT teams, and our IT partners within Odido.

You will:

• Keep a close eye on incident management, ensuring that problems are handled promptly and thoroughly by our IT suppliers.
• Take ownership of problem management, identifying potential improvements and making sure long-term issues are addressed effectively.
• Provide monitoring and reporting, ensuring we spot trends and take action to keep systems running reliably.
• Suggest and drive improvements in systems and processes, contributing to a better experience for our customers and teams.
• Act as the bridge between technology and people, making sure both systems and users get the attention they need.

You'll be part of the Simpel IT team, a close-knit group of about 8 people who work together with a shared purpose: delivering the best customer experience. We believe in small teams, big impact.

In addition, you'll be part of Odido's IT Operational Management (IT OM) team, with about 20 people who support and collaborate across brands. We are a diverse, friendly, and supportive team where everyone's voice is valued, and we believe that different perspectives make us stronger.

You'll work in a hybrid environment, with flexibility to work from home or from our offices in The Hague.

Ideally, you have:

• An MBO or Bachelor's degree in IT, or equivalent experience.
• A few years of experience in IT operations, especially functional application management.
• Experience managing applications in a larger organization and working within business processes.
• Hands-on experience with user management, functional application management, and some technical experience with SQL queries and databases.
• A love for investigating problems, analyzing data, and finding practical solutions.
• Strong planning, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• A customer-first mindset; you like making things better for the people who use your services!
• Fluency in Dutch and English.
