Our Pricing domain stands at a turning point. Over the past decade, we have established a robust pricing capability. Now, we will set the next step towards pricing excellence, and our Head of Pricing will lead the way to ensure we maximize value from pricing across all business domains. From developing, testing and implementing novel pricing tactics and strategies with Category Management and sales channels to guiding and steering price execution: you have a strong vision and the capability to translate that vision into results together with your peers. Simultaneously, you ensure that we create (further) efficiencies and scalability in our existing processes, to ensure we have the fundament to grow on. You lead and develop a team of 5 specialists and liaise with both national and international stakeholders to deliver results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Implement Pricing Strategies: Lead the development of a comprehensive value-based pricing strategy that aligns with our market positioning and business objectives. Ensure that pricing reflects the value proposition we offer to our customers in a highly competitive landscape.
- Price Optimization: Analyze market trends, customer behavior, and competitor pricing to optimize pricing processes across multiple domains, including product categories and promotional activities.
- Promotional Pricing Effectiveness: Strengthen our promotional pricing approach by evaluating current practices and suggesting data-driven improvements that enhance effectiveness and drive sales while maintaining profitability.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with category management, sales, and marketing to ensure our pricing strategies are aligned with our broader business goals and market demands.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Utilize analytics tools to track pricing performance and customer response, providing regular reports to senior management and making strategic recommendations based on findings.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the pricing team of 5 specialists, fostering an environment of collaboration and continuous improvement.
Who are you?
- A proactive and pragmatic go-getter, who is able to connect and convince with stakeholders on all levels of the organization, on a basis of data and conversational strength;
- Extensive experience in pricing strategy development and implementation, preferably in the retail or e-commerce sectors.
- Strong analytical skills, with a data-driven approach to decision making and a thorough understanding of market dynamics.
- Proven ability to optimize pricing processes and enhance promotional pricing effectiveness.
- A strategic mindset, with a focus on delivering value to customers while achieving business goals.
