Rabobank's Strategy & Transformation Office (STO) division is comprised of a Program Office, Change Delivery, Organisational Change, Business Process Management & Strategy. This division plays a crucial role in ensuring the success & integrity of projects & programs within the organisation.
Strategy & Transformation's Change Delivery team has an opening for a Senior Business Analyst due to an internal movement. Reporting to the Domain Lead Business Analyst, deliver requirements, support complex decision-making, user acceptance testing, & the implementation & operationalisation of prioritised project deliverables under the direction of, & in collaboration with, the Project / Programme Manager & Domain Lead BA.
This role can be based in either Sydney, Australia or Hamilton, New Zealand.
Top Role Accountabilities:
- Developing the business analysis plan & managing personal business analysis activities to the plan, sometimes without a project manager
- Stakeholder analysis to identify required stakeholders for input & validation, & development of stakeholder relationships
- Stakeholder engagement, including preparing / running workshops & developing models to adequately capture & communicate outcomes
- Preparing & facilitating senior level working groups & provide strategic input & enterprise level analysis.
- Contributing to the development & documentation of project scope, objectives & outcomes
- Undertaking project discovery including regulatory analysis, gap & synergy analysis & market opportunity analysis
- Analysing & documenting flow of information across the business value chains, client & staff interactions & use of technology
- Developing Current State (as-is) & Future State (to-be) Process Maps at various levels of decomposition & assess impacts, gaps & opportunities
- Creating unambiguous Business Requirements (BRD) to communicate necessary change to policy, process, procedures, organisation & technology
- Identifying, analysing & communicating options & recommendations to achieve business objectives & outcomes
- Developing user stories & functional requirements / specifications for digital solutions & data migrations
- Facilitating the creation of new or updated processes, policies & supporting their implementation
- Undertaking quality assurance of new solutions, including policies, processes & procedures & supporting testing of technology solutions through UAT & BAT
- Assisting with the development of training material & supporting other change activities
- Identifying risks, issues, dependencies & assumptions; escalating these where necessary
To be successful you will have:
- A minimum of 3 years' business analysis experience within banking / finance
- Demonstrated experience working through end-to-end project life cycle for medium to large business initiatives
- An ability to develop a business analysis plan & manage your own work
- Strong interpersonal, collaborative, & relationship management skills; an ability to interact & influence at all functions & levels
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts
- Proven experience in requirements elicitation, documentation & traceability using a variety of tools
- An ability to identify & document acceptance criteria
- A working understanding of data modelling & process modelling
- Working knowledge of available BA tools, e.g. Visio, Jira & Confluence
- Proven experience in the application of business processes & improvement methodologies
- Proven ability to plan, structure & facilitate workshops effectively
- An ability to structure & document concise policies & standards
