Good work!At Fokker in Papendrecht, we are looking for an accurate and experienced Root Cause & Improvement Mechanical Engineer to join our Manufacturing Engineering team. As a member of the Corrective Action Boards (CAB) team, you will be responsible for analyzing mechanical failures and implementing effective solutions to improve system performance.
Your duties and responsibilities:
- Develop and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence of problems.
- Optimize existing systems to increase performance and reliability.
- Ensure high operational standards through regular monitoring and quality checks.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Prepare and review mechanical specifications to meet industry standards.
- Apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles for accurate and precise mechanical designs.
Fokker is a specialist in landing gear and related systems. We are engaged in the design, development, production and assembly of complete landing gear, as well as the maintenance and overhaul of existing systems. Our expertise is used for some of the most advanced aircraft and helicopters, such as the Apache attack helicopter, the F-35 Lightning II (JSF), the Bombardier Dash 8 Q400 and the NH90 maritime attack helicopter.
- A bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or similar field.
- Demonstrated experience with Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implementing improvement strategies.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well together in a team.
- Knowledge of quality control and performance optimization techniques.
- Skill in preparing and interpreting mechanical specifications.
- Expertise in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Experience with advanced RCA tools and methodologies is a plus.
- Familiarity with industry standards and best practices within the aerospace industry is appreciated.
- A gross monthly salary between €3,384 and €5,399 (including 5% ATV allowance), depending on your experience and qualifications, in accordance with the CAO Metalektro.
- 25+ paid vacations for full-time employment.
- Excellent working conditions according to the CAO Metalektro, including a good pension and travel allowance.
