Role Overview
As a Training & Simulation Manager, you will be responsible for identifying and implementing product-specific training and development needs within the Subsea Cables and Offshore Heavy Lifting business units. A key part of the role includes managing the daily operation of offshore energy simulators, ensuring effective training and risk mitigation during project preparation.

You will work closely with department managers from Offshore Heavy Lifting, Subsea Cables, and Fleet, as well as the Learning and Development and HR teams at Boskalis.

Key Responsibilities

Training and Development

• Identify and implement training needs specific to offshore energy operations
• Maintain and develop training materials for offshore personnel
• Ensure availability and training of instructors
• Define and roll out a learning portfolio in collaboration with stakeholders

Simulator Management

• Oversee the daily operation of offshore simulators for heavy lift and cable lay or burial
• Ensure cost control, maintenance, and upgrades of simulators
• Optimize simulator usage through effective planning and scheduling
• Manage hardware, software, and layout improvements at the Boskalis campus simulation area

Stakeholder Management

• Collaborate with internal teams including Offshore Heavy Lifting, Subsea Cables, Fleet, HR, and Learning and Development
• Liaise with external stakeholders to stay up to date with new training technologies and methodologies
• Drive the professionalization of the training center within the Offshore Energy division

Required Skills and Experience

• Strong ability to act as a central coordinator within the Offshore Energy organization
• Knowledge and experience in learning and development, with a structured approach to professionalizing training programs
• Relevant background in a nautical, engineering, or operational management role
• Experience in process improvement, system optimization, and department structuring
• Excellent command of written and spoken English
• Experience in offshore heavy lift, cable lay and burial, and dynamic positioning is a plus
• Familiarity with developing and rolling out learning portfolios is an advantage
