RECRUITMENT PROCESS AND KEY DATES • If your application is successful, you may be invited to complete a video screening interview as part of the recruitment process. • If your application is progressed, you will be invited to attend an in-person Group Interview on Wednesday 19 March. • If you are successful for this role, you will be required to attend a 2-day Welcome induction on Monday 31 March & Tuesday 1 April 2025, 9am-5pm. About this work area We have exciting opportunities for retail enthusiast to join the IKEA Tempe store as Sales Co-workers. In this role your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: • Engaging and assist customers in understanding their needs and providing your knowledge on IKEA products and services to support their purchasing decisions. • Actively participating in selling products with a positive attitude and contribute to business goals and growth. • Being an expert and passionate about the IKEA product range; and actively learning about their features and benefits. • Responsible for ensuring that the sales area is stocked, presentable, attractively merchandised and correctly priced. • Assembling our products according to proper building and enclosed instructions to ensure complete functionality. • Building strong relationships with your team and other departments to promote a collaborative and inclusive work environment. We are looking for co-workers in the following areas: Markethall - Textiles & Rugs | Home Decoration • Being an expert and passionate about the IKEA product range; and actively learning about their features and benefits. • Replenishing and condensing stock levels throughout your shift and ensuring your area of responsibility is always well-stocked, correctly priced/labelled, and presentable. • Comfortable with on-the-job physical activity such as lifting, pushing/pulling, sliding/transferring of stock which vary in size and weight. Commercial Activity • Supporting customer enquiries and directing them to the appropriate department or location. • Working closely with the Sales and wider Commercial Team to ensure all price tags are displayed correctly and visibly especially during campaigns and promotions. • Condensing stock, including unloading pallets and cutting boxes open to restock appropriate products. Self Serve Furniture Area - Warehouse • Using inventory systems to ensure stock inventory is correct and up to date, ensure the Self Serve warehouse is always well-stocked, tidy and presentable. • Condensing stock, including unloading pallets and cutting boxes open to restock appropriate products and recycling of cardboard. • Assisting customers with loading flatpacks or products onto their flatbed trolleys when required. As a Sales Co-worker you are or have: • Passionate about home furnishings and appreciator of quality focusing on maintaining a high level of product knowledge and sharing the IKEA product range with customers. • A strong customer-focused mindset, always striving to deliver a memorable shopping experience. • A 'Togetherness' mindset with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a team environment. • Ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment and manage your own tasks. • Clear and concise communication skills, a keen eye for detail and strong problem-solving skills. • Proficient computer skills and an ability to learn about all technical aspects of the IKEA IT systems and tools. • A safe mindset and being comfortable with physical work and manual handling including repetitive movements and lifting.
