Your Role
As a fulltime Transport Planner, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring both inbound and outbound transport. You will work closely with various departments and external partners to ensure an efficient and smooth logistics operation. Additionally, you will play an active role in the implementation of our new Transport Management System (TMS).
Your Responsibilities
- Managing and coordinating incoming and outgoing freight flows with a focus on safety.
- Creating and managing transport schedules in our (future) TMS system.
- Communicating with freight forwarders via phone, email, loading lists, and EDI.
- Preparing transport documents such as CMRs, loading lists, and delivery notes.
- Handling damage claims and informing relevant parties.
- Monitoring and coordinating shipments via track & trace.
- Organizing urgent deliveries and administering transport invoices.
- Resolving operational issues and identifying structural improvements.
- Coordinating and distributing incoming deliveries from local suppliers.
- Contributing to the implementation of the Manhattan TMS system.
- A true team player with a "getting things done" mentality.
- Customer-oriented, flexible, and strong in communication.
- Results-driven and focused on continuous improvement.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- MBO+/HBO working and thinking level, preferably in Logistics or Transport.
- Experience in a similar role is a plus.
- Knowledge of SAP (ERP), Microsoft Office, and preferably a TMS system (e.g., Manhattan).
- Language skills: Dutch, German, and English.
