We are looking for a Technical Project Manager to join the DHL eCommerce team.
The eCommerce Financial Accounting team is a part of business unit eCommerce and was created 10 years ago and grew rapidly from 5 to 43 colleagues. We are a team of enthusiastic colleagues and with an average age of just above 35 years and we have a soled mix of new insights and experience. Currently we are responsible for the financial accounting of three administrations within eCommerce Benelux. As the market shows rapid growth and is always changing, a part of our day to day activities consists of working at innovative projects like RPA (Robotics Process Automation) and process improvements. Our Financial Accounting team is divided into four teams; Purchase to Pay, Record to Report, RPA and financial support ERP.
As a Technical Project Manager, you will be involved in large automation/migration projects and will work closely with process experts and external consultants to develop and or implement new tools / applications in the Finance domain (purchase to pay, record to report, intercompany and treasury). You will implement project management plans and processes to successfully deliver projects while meeting the cost, timescale and quality parameters in line with overall business objectives and needs, Group guidelines and policies.
Key Tasks:
- Analyze the current process and system requirements in current ERP system and map to the functional and interfaces solutions already available in the future solution.
- Communicate with the project stakeholders (local, Global, externals) during the various phases of the deployment, address any questions and obtains the relevant approvals from their roles.
- Do a fit gap analysis of legacy system functionality to that of the global platform and recommend a standard solution and process to the stake holders
- Manage convergence activities for one or multiple work streams.
- Deliver convergence project activities, communicate with the project stakeholders (local, Global, externals), triggers all the necessary actions and escalate where necessary.
- Deal with external ERP consultants and understand and make the best decisions on the various topics.
- Deliver successful change requests.
- Provide support to business users on the migration and coordinate the hypercare after Go-Live.
- Expand and share your knowledge within and beyond your work streams
- Set & manage clear project objectives and expectations.
- Maintain excellent communication and report to different stakeholders (global ERP team, eCommerce Board, Finance board and business).
- Act as the first contact for project escalations.
- Ensure a standard systems implementation process and usage of a common methodology and standards.
- Guide your project team to identify and share interdependencies across projects to ensure any risks and issues are identified as soon as possible and effectively communicated and actioned between stakeholders and project managers
- Ensure that all project ERP team members understand their roles and accept their responsibilities
- Implement and test process automations according to our development standards and best practices.
- Create technical documentation.
- Monitor the project expenditure in line with defined project budget
- Resolve operational problems and minimize delays in the delivery of projects
- Coordinate user acceptance test and deployment.
- Prepare and conduct go-live.
- Perform handover to business.
- Prepare and conduct handover sessions to enable the business to take over maintenance and continuous improvement.
- Perform status reporting in project or team meetings.
- Close collaboration and interaction along the implementation with process analysts and business experts.
Do you have what it takes?
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience/qualification
- At least five years of relevant IT or automation experience
- Excellent understanding of processes and, ideally, practical experience in the area of business process management, including process documentation, analysis, and optimization
- Good knowledge of MS Office products, particularly MS Excel / Visio
- SAP in depth knowledge is a must. Oracle and SQL knowledge is a plus.
Very good knowledge of written and spoken English and Dutch
- Ability to collaborate in an international team

- The role requires limited Business travel within the Benelux
