Come join QuTech and create the Quantum Future!
Job descriptionAre you proactive and able to navigate in complex setting? Do you have experience as a Programme Manager and a passion for science? If so, this role is for you!
QuTech is a mission-driven research institute of Delft University of Technology (TU Delft). Together, we work on a radically new technology with world-changing potential. Our mission: to develop scalable prototypes of a quantum computer and an inherently safe quantum internet, based on the fundamental laws of quantum mechanics.
To achieve these ambitious goals, we bring together scientists, engineers and industry in an inspiring environment. We are jointly creating the quantum future, because we believe that quantum technology can be a game changer in many social and economic sectors, including health, agriculture, climate and safety.
Our divisions and support teams include 220 FTE and over 300 dedicated people. Today, we are looking for a Division Coordinator for the Qubit Research Division.
Division Qubit Research
The number one quantum computing challenge is that qubits are extremely fragile. At QuTech's Qubit Research division, we are working to overcome this challenge by developing novel qubits that are protected from noise by design. Our mission: to understand, develop and demonstrate protected qubits that outperform established technology - because we believe that protected qubits will enable us to build a scalable quantum computer. To this end we work together in the division amongst five research groups, as well as in national and international projects.

- Managing the division's strategic planning, "year-agenda," and recurring activities such as staff meetings.
- Assisting new personnel in integrating smoothly into the division and the broader organization as well as fostering a socially safe and inclusive work environment.
- Coordinating the planning, budgeting (finance/personnel), and progress monitoring of projects.
- Providing guidance on procurement procedures, large investments, and supporting project acquisition, contracting, and execution.
- Monitoring IP implementation and facilitating negotiations with private partners in collaboration with our business development team.
- Coordinating outreach/external communication (events, press releases, annual report).
Finally, we offer you the opportunity to expand your expertise and grow professionally by taking on QuTech-wide tasks throughout the year.
