IKEA Supply is responsible for securing that the product offer is produced and delivered to our customers. We lead the supply agenda across many functions and work together with all business areas, different business units, but also retail markets to secure customer availability in all markets and sales channels at lowest total cost.
IKEA Purchasing & Logistic Services México in Mexico City is part of our Supply Area Americas region which also has an office in King of Prussia, PA and Curitiba, Brazil, and is a subsidiary of the Inter IKEA Group.

Job description
As a Finance Manager, you will:
- Ensure compliance with local laws and internal finance and tax policies; represent the Company externally when required.
- Perform monthly accounting closings, reconciliations, and controls. Ensure accuracy in financial reporting and collaborate with auditors.
- Lead local and global projects, initiatives, and team development within the finance function.
- Oversee Inter IKEA reporting, including transfer pricing and statutory filings in compliance with local laws.
- Develop, monitor, and implement internal controls and processes for transactions, including purchase, payment, receipt, service provider evaluations, asset disposals, and authorization matrix.
- Continuously optimize cost structures, enhance tax effectiveness, and maintain sufficient operational funds. Conduct budget and cost reviews.
- Ensure corporate governance and compliance.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with global partners in finance, tax, and legal; represent the finance function within the global matrix.
- Plan operational resources, provide reporting, and offer insights to business units on cost center management.
- Support and challenge business unit efficiency and performance.
- Act as a key partner for various stakeholders to navigate financial complexities and provide essential insights.
This position is also responsible for a highly effective and cost-efficient office administration and all routines that supports co-workers in their daily needs. Including but not limited to.
- Handle phone calls and receive visitors professionally.
- Track all incoming and outgoing mail and courier items.
- Manage office procurement activities, including tendering and contracting, ensuring cost-efficiency and compliance.
- Regularly manage and assess vendor performance.
- Ensure office safety and security by adhering to local and Inter IKEA rules and regulations.
- Oversee asset management.
- Manage travel routines, procedures, and travel agency relationships.
- Provide IT and computer support in coordination with IT specialists.
- Assist with ad-hoc duties, projects, and activities as required.
At any time, act as an ambassador of Inter IKEA values and contribute to the global BNFA agenda and projects.
Qualification
- University Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business OR relevant experience.
- Preferred local accounting certifications (CPA, CA etc.).
- Excellent knowledge and experience with financial processes and general accounting procedures.
- Good knowledge of tax and other legal finance regulations.
- Excellent MS office skills and knowledge of accounting and reporting systems.
- Good communication skills.
- Excellent in organizing tasks and willing to take responsibility globally.
- Fluent in local language and English.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Understanding of contribution to Global Matrix.
- Knowledge and experience with local corporate governance.
