Tricks of the trade
- Strategy: Drive the adoption of DevOps practices across development and operations, improving collaboration and efficiency. Provide hands-on guidance for deployments while shaping a cloud automation strategy that prioritizes availability, scalability, security, and resilience
- Cloud Architecture & Infrastructure: Design and architect cloud infrastructure while guiding team effectiveness, and build a self-service platform that enables product teams to efficiently provision and manage their infrastructure components
- System Operations: Coordinate networks and deploy resources to ensure our systems run smoothly, reliably, and efficiently. You will also enable the rapid deployment of new product features, implementing necessary safeguards to maintain system stability, high availability, and optimal performance
- Security: Ensure our systems remain secure and all operational requirements are fulfilled
- Our Tech: AWS, Docker, Kubernetes (EKS), Helm, Terraform, Ansible, Spacelift, Teamcity, PostgreSQL (PostGIS), MongoDB, Snowflake, Java 21 (Spring 6 with Spring Boot 3, Reactor, Immutables, Maven), Python, Golang, Bash, JavaScript (TypeScript)
We’re looking for
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent - or relevant experience
- At least 6 years of professional experience in infrastructure or software engineering
- Deep understanding of designing and architecture of cloud infrastructure
- Proficient in Kubernetes and configuring and deploying Docker containers
- Experience with cloud computing, scripting languages, and automation with Terraform
- Relevant experience with the technologies used at Picnic
- Fluency in English (Dutch is not required)
