The Corporate Communications (CoCo) team, consisting of 18 people, is responsible for all corporate internal and external communications activities related to our company and the NN brand(s). The team plays a strategic, advisory role for the Management Board, senior management, and business units regarding reputation and engagement. They act as spokespersons and support the positioning of NN Group/Nationale-Nederlanden through Public Relations. The corporate internal communications colleagues play a critical role in ensuring that employees are informed, engaged, and aligned with the organisation's purpose, strategy and values. The team is also responsible for maintaining the organisation's intranet and NN Group website.
What you will do
You will lead and manage a of communication business partners and specialists, facilitating optimal communications, collaboration, engagement, and information within the team. You build and maintain relationships between NN Group and various internal and external stakeholders.
Main responsibilities of the IC&C team
- Setting up and executing the internal communications strategy and architecture for NN Group
- Reinforcing the execution of NN Group's purpose and strategy, as well as the business strategy
- Leadership communications, including international leadership events
- Internal positioning of the NN Group Management Board
- Internal communication of Full Year and Half Year results
- People-related communications (HR, DE&I, Culture, etc.), fostering an inclusive culture
- Supporting the international internal communications network regarding NN Group themes
- Internal online content and community management on our internal social platforms

- Relevant academic degree
- Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience leading a team of professionals
- Proven understanding of corporate and internal communications
- Extensive experience in similar positions, with proven strong analytical skills and business acumen
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, both in English and Dutch
- Ability to think strategically, make steady decisions, and coordinate multiple projects
- Ability to be self-directed with strong stakeholder management skills
Who you work with
Within the Corporate Communications team, there are three teams:
- Internal Communications & Channels (IC&C) NN Group
- Internal Communications Netherlands
- Media Relations & External Communications
The objective of the IC&C team is to set out the common direction of the organisation internally, involve senior leadership and all employees in this process, and provide them with the tools to convey the company's overall strategic message. The team consists of four Communication Business Partners (Leadership/Tech & Data/International/Sustainability and Social Impact), a communication specialist, and a digital communication specialist. The team actively contributes to strategy alignment, employee engagement, and company pride.
Corporate Communications is part of the Corporate Relations (CR) department, located at the international head office in The Hague. CR consists of the following teams:

- Sustainability and Social Impact
- Public & Government Affairs
- Corporate Culture & Affairs
The Corporate Relations department has approximately 80 employees and is led by the Corporate Relations Management Team.
