Your jobYou will be a team member of the Corporate Planning & Control team (CPC) , responsible for (amongst others):
- Acting as a segment performance analyst, supporting monthly closing, forecasting, quarterly multi-year financial planning processes and other inquires, being the link between the segment controlling team and CPC;
- Translating financial performance analysis into clear conclusions and recommendations to senior management as part of regular reporting to the Executive and Supervisory Boards
- Increasing efficiency of (manual) controlling processes by driving system changes, improvements and PBI reporting together with IT colleagues.
- Benefit tracking of the strategic initiatives on a Group level (together with senior members of the team): coordination of the process, timelines and scope with the controllers analysis and validation of actuals, forecasts and deviations from the targets, presentation of quarterly update to ExBo/JST as part of the quarterly financial update.
- Involvement in other products and processes of CPC based on the profile and background.
You work in the Corporate Planning & Control team, which is part of Finance Controlling. The team is around 18 people and consists of young, ambitious professionals combined with experienced seniors and a leadership team that strongly believes in personal development. We have an open and trusted atmosphere with strong and fun team work in order to deliver high quality products to senior management. Given our central role in the management control cycle of ABN AMRO we work in close contact with other departments such as business CFOs, ALM, Investor Relations, Group Strategy and Risk Management.
You will join an environment of continuous learning both on a professional and personal level. You will get detailed insights in the strategy and financial performance of the bank and its business drivers with exposure to senior management.
Your profile- Economics and/or Business administration at Master level or a similar post-graduate training.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in Controlling / FP&A, preferably with banking background.
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
- Advanced skills in Excel and Power BI. Experience with other tools will be appreciated.
- Fluent English, Dutch is a plus.
- You are a pro-active driven and enthusiastic team player who strives to deliver high quality and has a strong sense of responsibility.
- In a dynamic environment you are able to deliver within short deadlines clear advice to the senior stakeholders.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- You are curious and eager to learn beyond your own areas of responsibility.
- A gross monthly salary conform CLA level 10 based on a 36-hour work week, including vacation pay and benefit budget.
- The Benefit Budget is 11% of your salary. The Benefit Budget allows you to acquire additional employment benefits. If you make no purchases or reservations in the Benefit Shop in a given month, you are paid one twelfth of your Benefit Budget that month.
- Five weeks of vacation per year. You have the option to purchase an additional four weeks per year.
- Personal development Budget of € 1,000 per year, which you can accumulate up to € 3,000.
