Business Analyst - Reporting and BI

What the day will look like.
Reporting to the Lead Business Analyst, you will be responsible for:
- Relationship management working directly with colleagues in country to understand their Reporting and BI processes and requirements - functional and non-functional.
- Analysing the local reporting processes, requirements and documents to then assist in the development of global reporting processes and solutions.
- Producing a range of Business Analysis outputs including, but not limited to, business requirements, business process diagrams, use case diagrams, user stories, user journeys.
- Liaising with Product Owners and Solution Architects to ensure the development process is efficient, effective, and transparent to the business.
- This role may involve occasional travel within EMEA and possibly APAC.
Skills and experience that will lead to success.
- Greater than 5 years experience of large scale insurance projects - knowledge of insurance concepts and terminology.
- This role is focussed on and reporting and BI specialist work so relevant reporting experience as a BA is essential.
- Power BI experience and skills will be a major benefit.
- Interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships with leading business and technical reporting, data hosting and BI subject matter experts.
- Flexibility to work with diverse teams from different countries and cultures.
- Exercise curiosity to influence decisions such that they align to programme strategy.
- Self-motivated and able to take leadership on areas of work assigned.
- Ability to see the "big picture" solution but equally drill down to low-level detail when required.
- Strong business analysis skills and analytical ability to understand complex subjects and transferring that knowledge into required deliverables.
- Experience in producing a range of Business Analysis outputs including, but not limited to, business requirements, reporting templates, data maps, business process diagrams, use case diagrams, user stories, user journeys.
- Fluent English; one of German, or Dutch fluency in addition.
- Excellent authoring and document review skills and vocabulary
- Negotiation, influencing and conflict management skills and a willingness to challenge business stakeholders on ways of working.
- Excellent team player with the ability to maintain trust at all levels.
- Strong understanding of IT systems, software development lifecycle (SDLC), and business analysis methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
- Proficiency in requirement gathering, process mapping, and documentation tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Visio).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, global environment.
- Certification in business analysis (e.g., CBAP) is desirable.
