We are looking for a Teamleader Accounts Payable to join the DHL eCommerce team.
DHL eCommerce - Teamleader APThe eCommerce Financial Accounting Benelux team is part of DHL business unit eCommerce and was created 10 years ago and grew rapidly from 5 to 44 colleagues. We are a team of enthusiastic colleagues and have a balanced mix in terms of diversity and inclusivity which enable us to continuously adapt to the growth of our cluster. Currently we are responsible for the Financial Accounting of three administrations within eCommerce Benelux. As the market shows rapid growth and is always changing a part of our day to day activities, we focus on innovative projects like RPA (Robotics Process Automation) and process improvements. Our Financial Accounting team is divided into four sub teams: Purchase to Pay, Record to Report (General Ledger, Treasury and Intercompany), RPA and functional support. We are close to the business and together we drive the success of DHL. Our team forms the backbone in the accuracy and completeness of the recording and reporting of millions of financial transactions.
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated
Teamleader Accounts Payable
to join our eCommerce team. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing the day-to-day operations of the Accounts Payable (AP) team and the Query Handling (QH) team. This role ensures that incoming invoices are processed efficiently and that cash flow is maximized in accordance with company policies, accounting principles, regulations, and compliance requirements. Further it is responsible for the coordination of the purchase to pay compliance activities. How will you contribute to the success of DHL?Your day-to-day responsibilities as the Teamleader Accounts Payable will include setting daily operational objectives to execute Accounts Payable (AP) and Quality Handling (QH) plans within established budgets and defined processes. You will supervise the AP team in efficiently handling incoming invoices from receipt to payment preparation, as well as oversee the QH team in managing queries related to AP and vendor master data.
A key aspect of your role will be to ensure the timely payment of vendor invoices and expense vouchers, while coordinating with both the AP and QH teams to meet required service standards, targets, and schedules. You will implement control mechanisms to ensure compliance with established standards and regulations and you will also guide and coach your team to resolve daily service delivery issues effectively.
In addition, you will address critical technical issues escalated by the team, such as overdue data and billing disputes, and develop proposals for service improvements aimed at enhancing quality and reducing costs. Maintaining strong service relationships with specific business units for the delivery of AP and QH services will be essential. You will also assist in the implementation of the IT landscape for Procure-to-Pay (PtP) and any changes therein.
Finally, in the absence of the Accounts Payable Manager, you will act as the deputy manager and be responsible for the people management of both the AP and QH teams, ensuring a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
Do you have what it takes?To be successful in this role, you should have a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
You should possess knowledge of Accounts Payable, Vendor Management, Financial Reporting, Microsoft Excel, Service Delivery, Influencing, Feedback, Facilitation, Negotiation, People Management, and Resourcing.
Familiarity with DHL finance policies, business knowledge, processes, and strategy is also crucial.
You should have experience in stakeholder management, excellent presentation and storytelling skills, and strong people management skills. A digital affinity and more than 3 years of experience in the Accounts Payable or Billing area are required.
Fluency in Dutch is essential!
