The Role:
Rabobank is seeking a dynamic Business Continuity Manager for a visible regional role covering Rabobank Australia & New Zealand (RANZ). In this pivotal role, you will safeguard the bank's critical functions by minimising the impact of potential disruptions on business operations. Upon commencement, your focus be supporting Rabobank in uplifting, implementing & operationalising our Business Continuity Management (BCM) framework & CPS230 implementation.
As a trusted advisor, you will promote, facilitate, & provide expert advice on Business Impact Assessments, Business Continuity Plans, & Crisis Management. You will join a highly engaged team in Sydney, where we embrace a hybrid work model, combining working from home with time in our CBD office.
Top Role Accountabilities:
- Implementation of the Business Continuity Management Policy & Standards to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including but not limited to APRA CPS 230 Operational Risk Management
- Analysing various Global Standards & localising the requirements
- Monitoring BCM related risks in accordance with Rabobank's Risk & Control Framework
- Leading & guiding business units across RANZ in the development of Business Impact Assessments (BIAs) & Business Continuity Plans (BCPs) to ensure the bank can maintain critical operations through disruptions. This includes identifying critical operations & setting tolerance levels for disruptions
- Maintaining Business Continuity documentation for Enterprise, Business Unit & Branches (these include Procedure guides, relevant training material, templates)
- Conducting Business Continuity training for Business Process Managers, Business Line Managers, First line Risk &, Subject Matter Experts
- Management of Disaster Recovery testing & exercising of Enterprise & Business Unit level & quality assure documented results
- Reviewing BIAs, RAMAs and BCPs in accordance with Local, Global and relevant regulatory standards
- Maintaining key indicators for critical systems & overall Business Continuity capability
- Conduct Crisis Management exercises, including executing bank-wide call tree tests
To be successful you will have:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in Business Continuity Management, Disaster Recovery, and Crisis Management
- Knowledge of CPS232, CPS230, and DORA
- Certification from the Business Continuity Institute (BCI)
- A strong understanding of the financial services sector
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- The ability to develop, build, & maintain relationships effectively
- A self-motivated, methodical, & organized approach to your work
