At Operations Center we are now looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join our leadership team; ready to play a crucial role in shaping the future of technology and business on our journey to transform. Operations Center is assigned to define and lead the service, product and technology strategies for IT Operations including Business Process Monitoring. The unit is responsible for ensuring the reliability and availability of digital products and services across the IKEA landscape; through observability, monitoring and reporting of our business-critical flows paired with 24/7 operations following the Service Continuity and Major Incident Management practices.

As a Senior Business Analyst, you are brilliant at transforming consumer needs and data into easily understandable information, enabling value-driven deliveries, improvements and large-scale transformation. With data as a basis, you will leverage modern technologies such as automation and advanced analytics to deliver high-quality and high-performing services, products and practices within IT Operations.

You foster deep collaboration and partnership with strategic partners and consumer groups such as Central Business Teams, Product Owners, Engineering Teams, Suppliers and various stakeholders to create scalable, standardized offerings to meet the unique needs of our co-workers across the IKEA value chain.
To be successful in this role, we are looking for an experienced person who encompasses:
- Very strong ability to capture, interpret and translate business needs in terms of information, data and technical capabilities.
- Excellent knowledge of analytics.
- Broad knowledge of IT Operations, industry standards and emerging technologies.
- Profound knowledge of how to conduct analysis, create flows and build dashboards/reports.
- Deep knowledge of agile development practices and/or IT/Technology service management.
- Strong ability to turn complex concepts and processes into simple, comprehensible and relevant communication both to a technical and business audience.
- Ability to actively acquire new knowledge and skills and champion new methods and processes to improve performance.
- Strong ability to drive improvements and lead initiatives involving senior colleagues and stakeholders.
As our Senior Business Analyst, you have the following key previous experiences and skills:
- Formal qualifications in statistics or equivalent with a relevant formal education like MBA.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive and diverse working experience in analytics and business requirements.
- Proven analytical skills combined with an ability to communicate figures in an understandable and inspiring way.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in technology transformational changes, requirement management and what it means to an IT team as well as leading different initiatives.
- Experience working with Business process mapping and with 24/7 service delivery is a merit.
- Extensive experience in forecasting tools and predictive modelling as well as database tools, dashboarding tools, PowerBI, and strong advanced skills in MS Office tools such as MS Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and communicate with senior business leaders.
- Demonstrable experience with related frameworks such as ITIL4, SAFe, Site Reliability Engineering.
- Experience of working with iterative, agile product development teams and possessing a good knowledge of agile/scrum and Software Engineering working setup, including key events and artefacts.
- Service Now experience.
WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING
As Senior Business Analyst, you will lead initiatives that drive efficiency and quality of the Practices, Services and Products, within Operations Center, by continuously developing and adapting the analysis, reporting models and tools to industry best practice and business needs. You will also be the one in lead to collect business requirements, set KPIs and metrices in order for us to deliver the expected business value from our transformation roadmap.
You will be performing your day to day work in close collaboration with Business Analyst network and relevant key roles across Ingka and Inter IKEA, such as the Product Owners in SM&O, Service Management Leaders and the IT Practice Leader of Service continuity and Major Incident Management, as well as our strategic partner.
As part of the Operations Center's leadership team we expect you to provide high-quality input and secure a relevant strategy and transformation roadmap for IT Operations and Business Process Monitoring, based on collected user needs, consumer feedback and sense of urgency, as well as best practices in the industry.
You will also:
- Create, maintain and promote the roadmap and offerings in order to increase the knowledge of the Service offerings in Operations Center.
- Lead and plan reviews ensuring compliance with legislations, policies or other requirements in order to stay compliant.
- Drive the data collection needed for the strategy, design, development and maintenance of Products and Services in scope, in order to deliver based on consumer needs.
- Develop and adapt our operational model, analysis and reporting based on best practice and current objectives to drive efficiency and quality in the delivery of the Products and Services in scope.
