The global Analytical Technology Solutions (ATS) division (~100 employees) drives and executes pharma analytical excellence in close alignment with their partners in R&D and manufacturing in order to ensure robust analytical method introduction, method transfers, analytical innovation and a reliable product supply to customers. ATS has considerable experience in analytical method development, improvement and validation, process - & release analytics as well as in analytical transfer planning & execution. As part of the ATS, Material Science & Characterization (MS&C) team (15 FTE) in Oss performs analytical method development, troubleshooting and various investigations related to material science to support our manufacturing sites. As part of MS&C, the Packaging Performance lab performs packaging performance testing, supporting new product commercialization, changes and troubleshooting for our global organization.
You are going to work on various projects in the packaging characterization lab. Your responsibilities will be executing the work in the lab, reporting results, keeping proper documentation, performing review of raw data, and using analytical equipment compliant to departmental standards. Presentation of results to and keeping communication with requestors is also in scope, as well as aligning with external contract labs for outsourced activities.
Tasks and responsibilities
- Executing various analytical tasks related to packaging characterization (Tensile Testing, Water Vapor and Moisture Transmission analysis, Container Closure Integrity Testing, Leak Testing, Rub Testing, determining dimensions of packaging containers, etc.);
- Registering samples, documenting raw data, writing study protocols and reporting results;
- Keeping good order in the lab and complying with applicable EHS guidelines.
Qualifications
- HBO level education in a technical field;
- Preferably some relevant work experience;
- Work experience in the pharmaceutical industry is an advantage;
- Experience with scientific/technical writing and current computer usage (MS Office);
- Team player with an analytical mindset;
- Willing to learn new analytical techniques, applications and procedures;
- Fluent English and Dutch.
