Job descriptionAs a
UX Leader
within our UX team, you will:- Lead the design of experiences for interactive products that serve IKEA co-workers, suppliers, and customers.
- Ensure that the interaction and user experience design of digital solutions are intuitive, impactful, accessible, and meet IKEA's high standards for quality, user outcomes, and brand consistency.
- Oversee UX activities within specific areas, topics, or segments of interactive products, working closely with peers across IKEA to foster a strong, relevant IKEA identity.
- Guide the creation and create digital product outputs (e.g., wireframes, prototypes, flows) to support both co-worker and customer digital experiences.
- Collaborate with stakeholders from Product, Technology, UX network, People & Culture, and other areas to ensure team designs meet IKEA's strategic goals and objectives.
- Enable all designers to stay up to date on the latest trends and knowledge in web and mobile design.
- Mentor and coach team members, fostering growth and development within their roles and expertise.
To be successful in this role, you bring:
- Proven expertise in experience strategy, user and customer journey design, UX flows, UI and digital patterns in web and mobile.
- Experience in coaching, teaching, and mentoring others to succeed, with a strong motivation to see the team excel.
- Knowledge in workshop facilitation, problem analysis, and a keen understanding of human cognition and interaction design.
- A keen eye for both big-picture thinking and attention to detail in interactive product design.
- Strong capabilities in wireframing, visual design, micro-interactions, and basics of motion design.
- Ability to foster inclusivity, empathy, and consensus-building.
- Expertise in Figma at an advanced level.
- Strong communication skills across written, fluent in English.
