As Senior Payroll Administrator and part of an international Global Finance Business Services team, you will be responsible for compiling payroll data, validating and processing of monthly salary input data for mainly our Dutch payroll and other EMEA assigned countries. You will support colleagues and leadership for an efficient process enabling our company value of doing great things together.
Tasks
- Ensure accurate calculation and processing of salaries, overtime, bonuses, and deductions for employees mainly for the Netherlands. Other EMEA countries can also be assigned to this role.
- Responsible for the review and checks of the Payroll output data received from the international Payroll providers
- Communicate on timely basis monthly payroll related data with each of the external Payroll service providers
- Ensure payment to the employees, social security, wage tax, pension etc, in the specific countries are processed within the deadlines
- Partner closely with HR Specialists and HR Business Partners (HRBPs) to streamline payroll processes and continuously improve efficiency.
- Partner closely with the Financial Accounting team on the preparation of payroll journal entries and reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with tax laws and legal regulations related to payroll administration.
- Address all payroll issues in a timely manner and maintain an open line of communication with Human Resources and Finance departments
- Responsible for year-end processes such as annual payroll tax and payment summary reconciliations
- Ability to recognize and deal appropriately with sensitive and confidential information
- Prepare periodic reports for review by management
- Stay up to date on payroll/ tax laws and employment regulations to ensure compliance
- Ensure SOX compliance for the payroll process and support audits on payroll procedures and records
- Respond to payroll-related inquires and resolving concerns
- Develop a culture of continuous improvement, automation, digitization, adherence, and proactively propose enhancement to Global Standards.
- Assist with payroll audits and provide necessary documentation
- Support process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of EMEA payroll operations
Requirements
Experience: At least 3 years experience in a similar role managing Dutch Payroll. International payroll experience is not a must, we offer on the job training.
Technical skills: Accounting and payroll software user expertise. BKL certification is highly valued.
Language: Dutch & English language skills; written and spoken at high level.
Soft skills: Autonomous. Attention to Confidentiality. Acute attention to detail. Strong team player, passionate about delivering success. Excellent communication skills.
