Our client in Eindhoven is seeking experienced and highly motivated Procurement & Lab Coordinator to support to support procurement activities, lab operations, and cross-functional collaboration. In this role, you will ensure the seamless execution of procurement processes, logistics management, and lab services, all while driving operational efficiency and maintaining strong communication with researchers, engineers, and partners.
This is a 12-month position with potential for annual renewal.
Tasks
- Manage team purchase requests (PR) and purchase orders (PO) in compliance with client procurement policies.
- Oversee tool and equipment purchases, including onboarding and managing external vendors.
- Ensure end-to-end procurement ownership using task management systems.
- Monitor procurement KPIs, including schedule accuracy, workload quantity, and executed projects.
- Coordinate logistics and shipping issues, adhering to established processes.
- Manage and resolve challenges related to lab equipment and supply logistics.
- Act as a liaison for researchers and engineers, managing operational tasks and facilitating clear communication.
- Partner with teams to coordinate, oversee, and follow through on projects until successful completion.
- Support lab changes and collaborate with cross-functional partners to manage associated tasks.
- Coordinate lab services, including offsite storage, rigging requests, vendor management, ordering supplies, equipment installation/decommissioning, and lab tours.
- Maintain accurate records of lab equipment and supplies, supporting asset auditing procedures.
- Document processes and procedures, refining them to improve operational efficiency.
- Conduct regular audits and provide actionable recommendations for enhancing lab operations.
- Purchase tools, consumables, hardware, and chemicals as needed.
- Maintain up-to-date inventory records to avoid shortages and ensure smooth operations.
Requirements
Skills and Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience managing purchase orders, onboarding vendors, and monitoring procurement KPIs.
- Strong understanding of logistics and shipping processes, especially for lab equipment and supplies.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with researchers, engineers, and external vendors.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, projects, and priorities with precision and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with lab equipment, tools, chemicals, and consumables used in research and engineering environments.
- Experience in documenting processes, conducting audits, and driving continuous improvements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a research, engineering, or laboratory environment.
- Proficiency in task and procurement management systems.
