Job descriptionAt IKEA Älmhult AB we serve our guests in many of our facilities, such as: The restaurant at IKEA Museum, the Lobby restaurant at IKEA Hotell, Grillen, MUMS and Aktivitetshuset. Now we are looking for summer workers who are passionate about food and creating an excellent food experience for our guests during breakfast, lunch and evening service. As a chef you play an important role in preparing, cooking and serving breakfast, lunch and dinner for all our guests in our different facilities. You will be part of our kitchen team, where all strive to give our guests a Smålandish experience.
Your tasks will include:
- Preparation and cooking of dishes during breakfast, lunch and dinner, all days of the week
Support the development of our menues
- Making sure our kitchens are spotless and ready for service
- Making sure that all dishes leaving the kitchen are of high quality and follows all our safety regulations connected to food
We are looking for someone who loves to prepare the best food experience for our guests! As a chef at IKEA Älmhult AB you ensure the best possible experience for the guests and exceed their expectations.
To succeed in this role, we expect you to take the initiative to get things done and to be curious about finding better ways of doing things. You should have the ability to solve problems that arise on a daily basis. You enjoy working with your colleagues and are a great team member. We require you to have a few years of work experience in a professional kitchen. You should also be comfortable working with digital tools. And of course you share our passion for IKEA's history, culture and values!
Specific job qualifications:
- previous experience of in a professional kitchen.
- you are a great team-member and have a passion for food and guests
- you speak both Swedish and English fluently, and it is a plus if you master some additional language.
- You are also comfortable working with computers.
- You must be over 18 years of age and hold a valid work permit, making you eligible for work in Sweden.
We now offer several fixed term seasonal positions for the summer period 1st of June till 31st of August. Our schedules follow our restaurants opening hours, where daytime, evening and weekend shifts are included to cover all our opening hours. All our venues are located in Älmhult.
