Your new role
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Chief Commercial Officer Lead (CCO Lead) for our Transaction Services division within Wholesale Banking. The candidate will be responsible for driving initiatives under the commercial TS and WB Strategy, fostering commercial discipline, measuring performance, unveiling commercial opportunities and driving growth and profitability.

Role and Responsibilities
- Strategic Sales Planning: Develop, coordinate and implement commercial initiatives that drive the growth and profitability of WB Transaction Services.
- Sales and Performance Management: Using the content of the Commercial Excellence Framework to coach, train and encourage the WB organisation, guide and measure the performance of TS Sales teams to assess the effectiveness and prioritise campaigns that enhance the visibility and attractiveness of our services. Monitor the performance of commercial activities at country and individual portfolio levels, including Salesforce registration. Take corrective actions to achieve objectives.
- Alignment with Stakeholders: Align within WB CCO and with TS Sales, Commercial Product Management, and TS Strategy and Balance Sheet Management Team on commercial priorities.
- Strategic Connection: Connect WB TS Sales activities with the overall WB TS and WB Bank strategy and ambitions.
- Commercial Excellence: Instil Commercial Discipline throughout the TS organization globally and improving Accountability (Create, embed and monitor) by means of a TS Excellence (KPI) Framework. Embed g the VCT Excellence way of working in the organization and drive results with VCT's on execution and commercial opportunities.
- Data Demand: Address the surge in data demand from the business to ensure data-driven decision-making and strategy formulation. Identify business requirements and possess ability to translate data into commercial insights ensuring alignment with the Strategy & Performance team.
- Origination Capabilities: Enhance our origination capabilities in close cooperation with Sectors to further diversify (Fee) income and enable active portfolio management.

You are driven by a passion for people, creativity, and high-quality standards. You should have a proven track record in a senior commercial role within Transaction Services or Wholesale Banking with strong strategic planning and analytical skills. Excellent relationship-building, stakeholder management and communication skills are essential, as well as the ability to lead and inspire teams. An innovative mindset with a focus on continuous improvement is crucial. As the linking pin between WB TS and CCO, you should be self-starting and comfortable operating in a complex matrix organization
Qualifications:
- We are looking for a Director with a minimum 10 years' experience within Transaction Services or Wholesale Banking
- Proven track record in a senior commercial role
- Sense for business strategy and opportunity, based on relevant industry knowledge and markets expertise
- Competence to translate WB & TS vision and strategy into specific direction for the TS
- Strong strategic planning and analytical skills
- Highly experienced in complex stakeholder management
- Collaboration skills to work across both functional and geographic lines
- Excellent relationship-building and communication skills
- Ability to lead and inspire teams. Innovative mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Ability to drive change with presence and energy
- Commercial drive and high level of self-motivation
- High proficiency in English (verbal & written), and ability and willingness to travel.
