Looking for a challenging role within purchasing? We are looking for a temporary full-time Technical Purchaser (based in the Netherlands, Breda) to join our small, enthusiastic team.
Within this role you will be dedicated to deliver more strategic value to the business. The purchaser selects suppliers based on the best price-quality ratio and a long-term partnership strategy. In addition, he/she will negotiate with vendors and supervise the delivery process for the Northern European hub under the Group's global Purchasing strategy.
You will ensure that the supplier database is fully compliant and you will be responsible for increasing margin and reducing risk for all projects led by North Europe. You are a true team player providing tangible value to the organisation when participating in projects, initiatives and sales opportunities.

- You are responsible for ensuring security of supply and timely delivery meeting quality standards
- You are responsible for SRM and contract management
- You are responsible in the selection, assessment and ongoing development of new and existing suppliers concerning quality, documental compliance, timely delivery and costs
- You will do data analysis to develop appropriate procurement and negotiation strategies that maximise savings opportunities and minimize risks
- You will be responsible for tendering and creation of new contracts, revision of quotes and improvement of existing tender processes under coordination with the Purchasing Specialist and Group Purchasing Manager
- You are the purchasing interface between local unit and international Lead Buyers for assigned material groups/projects, aligning the supply chain with strategy worldwide
- You are responsible for verification of suppliers ‘compliance to Key Performance Indicators, such as time of delivery, quality, security of supply, supplier dependency and others
- You are responsible for application of Group purchasing processes according to standardized framework under constant coordination with the Purchasing Specialist and Group Purchasing Manager
- You will be recording and monitoring of objectives achievement (both operationally and strategically)
Vereisten
- You have some years of experience in an international technical procurement environment
- You have legal know how (contract management, warranty law etc.)
- You are able to manage costs and understand budgetary requirements
- You have good negotiation skills and knowledge of risk management
- You have good notion of contract management, change management and lean manufacturing tools.
- You are a real team player who is honest, flexible and open-minded with a solution-oriented approach
- You are able to develop and manage internal and external relationships effectively.
- You have good verbal and written English communication skills, additional languages such as Dutch and/or German would be advantageous
