We are looking for a Riskshield Techlead in the Transaction Monitoring and Sanction Screening domain. Are you a specialist in RiskShield when it comes to engineering? Are you strong in configuring systems for unconventional challenges and do you want to ensure that our customers can bank securely? Then we are looking for you!
As a Riskshield techlead you are the specialist when it comes to our KYC and screening systems. As a RiskShield Engineer within the team Sanctions and in the field of Transaction Screening, you work on timeliness in real-time processes. Load balancing, availability and loosely-coupled applications in a payment chain are the playing field for meeting the screening deadline for Instant Payments as efficiently as possible. The screen checks must be very fast and yet complete, which is a very technically interesting challenge. In the field of Name Screening, team Sanctions is responsible for screening all parties. This means that the name screening of different source data is flexible, robust and with different content and data quality.
- Engineering, in this role, is a daily mix of technical and less technical tasks such as brainstorming, analyzing, reporting and programming, including in RiskShield, Java, Python and further development in the operating system, using bash, PowerShell and Excel.
- As an Engineer, you ensure that the screening engine is fed with the correct data and information through APIs, asynchronous services, authentication, authorizations and delivery schedules. You also work on analyzes across chains and look for experience and expertise in the organization.
- You work daily on data specifications with XML, JSON, AVRO, CSVs and on data comparisons, checks and data consistency.
- You design database structures, entity-relationship diagrams, as well as data retention so that the data is stored unambiguously and can be retrieved very quickly.
- The new implementations are controlled, brought to the operation through pipelines and automated processes. This includes matters such as separation of duties, 4-eye principles, auditing and logging as standard components in the tools and processes.
As an engineer you constantly improve the tools used and ensure that tooling is connected to, for example, new cloud implementations.
Your qualities
You are proactive, eager to learn and like working together. You are good at translating complex technical considerations into plain language for business. Your way of working is based on mutual respect. You strive to make continuous improvements, both in using the RiskShield technology and in the customer integrity processes. You have excellent programming skills, with all aspects of software development, like unit-testing, source control and pipelines for deployment. You create logical solutions as simple as possible and ensure well-documented and extensively tested stories. Additionally, you have:- Higher education level, towards computer science.
- At least 8-10 years of programming experience (preferably SQL and Python) and knowledge of API services, databases and messaging.
- Knowledge and experience with RiskShield is a Must
- Knowledge of payment transactions and client integrity is a must
- Able to translate architectural requirements to guidelines usable in the dev-team
- Experience with leading and voaching a team of jr/mr developers and steer them to be a high performance team
- Good understanding of working in an agile environment.
- Good communication skills in English and Dutch.
Where You'll Work
As an engineer you work as part of a DevOps team in our Transaction-Monitoring & Sanctions domain. This multidisciplinary team includes business developers and IT engineers. Within an informal and open atmosphere, you will work to continuously enhance and optimize our detection systems. You will translate the policies for transactions monitoring and sanction filtering into practical and high-performance efficient solutions.
