Job descriptionAs a Data Engineer in IKEA Components, you will work closely together with our solution and integration teams in turning source data into frontend consumable information. You will analyse business needs and manage the backend to transfer those needs into actionable insights together with Frontend BI Developer and Business Performance Analysts.
You will be responsible for:
- Transforming data into an analyzable format (ETL/ELT) to deliver business benefits.
- Develop and maintain infrastructures for data sourcing, processing, and sharing.
- Optimize, test, and implement tools to enhance data quality and monitor drift and decay.
- Manage data integration, processing, and modeling.
- Translate business data needs into technical solutions and architectures.
- Ensure compliance with security, legal, and delivery standards.
- Support and coach teams in data-driven development.
- Document and share knowledge on data infrastructure within IKEA.
- Documentation of data models/solutions in Confluence
To shine in this role, we believe that you:
- Have extensive experience in designing data pipelines, data warehousing, data modeling, and databases.
- Have strong expertise in SQL and good in Python or other database scripting languages, as well as general-purpose data handling languages.
- Good knowledge of on-premises, cloud, and hybrid infrastructures.
- Are a team player who takes ownership, builds cross-functional relationships with senior peers, and enjoys mentoring junior team members.
- Are a world-class problem solver with a passion for continuous learning.

- Have knowledge of Microsoft Power-BI and SSRS.
We believe that you have a relevant university degree and/or some years of experience from working with data and analytics in a relevant context. Knowledge of ERP systems is a plus.
