WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE
• Academic Degree in Law with a focus on Labour Law
• 2+ years of experience as a HR Legal Specialist, preferably in a multinational Retail context
• Knowledge of legislation regarding resolving disputes between IKEA and other corporate and civil parties
• Knowledge about the rights and obligations of workers and employers, and how to mediate the relationship between workers, employing entities, trade unions and the government
• Knowledge of how to create, implement and follow up on rules and practices that ensure accountability, compliance, fairness and transparency within IKEA
• Knowledge of constructive performance management and communication
• Accomplishes goals, completes tasks, and achieves results
• Develops virtual and other collaborative relationships to facilitate current and future objectives
• Takes action without needing direction from others; ability to work independently, take own initiatives and responsibility but also a team-player
• Expresses ideas and opinions effectively in verbal and written communication
• Communicates in a constructive, caring and assertive way
• Analyses root causes and establishes learning approaches from issue resolutions
• Ability to speak both in Italian and English
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY
• Leads an ongoing open dialogue with workers, their associations and other organisations, contributing to successful negotiations with the worker's council / labour unions
• Supports Unit People & Culture Managers in handling unions conflicts in their units
• Coordinates with country Co-worker Relations Manager to executing on common way of managing labour issues across the country, in order to protect IKEA as an employer from potential threats
• Follows up on the IKEA co-worker survey results
• Coaches, executes and follows up on the problem resolution process in all units
• Coaches and guides units to create a proactive / preventive way of working with performance issues
• Follow up on potential health and safety issues / complaints in units
• Implement and follow up on IKEA's Employment standards and compliance in all units
• Coordinates, enables collaboration and leads topics relevant for all units
