You and your job
You will be working from the Rabobank Dealing Room in Utrecht, a dynamic and diverse environment, and be part of the broader Corporate Risk & Treasury Management (CRTM) Europe & Africa (E&A) Team that serves our corporate client base for Interest Rates, FX/MM and Commodities. Within CRTM, the European Solutions team is growing as the bank is expanding in new focus areas within Europe. You will focus specifically on our growing Italian corporate client base in the Food & Agri (F&A) and Energy Transition (ET) sectors. You will be responsible for your own portfolio of clients for all their hedging needs and will actively originate & execute Interest Rates and bespoke, event-driven solutions.Internally, you work closely with Relationship Managers, Credit, Legal, Risk Management, Research and several Markets Trading Desks. Your client contacts are Group Treasurers, and CFO's in Italy. Markets' values Balanced, Integrity, Respect and Responsibility are key in your daily practices.
Objectives
- Create client intimacy and grow relationships with your corporate clients at the Treasurer/CFO level
- Prospecting and growing the existing client base - Strategic growth plan Italy
- Deliver on the cross sell budget and help increase overall client returns
- Work in close cooperation with the broader CRTM team and be a back-up for the Solutions Europe Southern European cluster (Italy/France/Iberia)
- Frequently visit (4 days a month) our Milan office
- Become the bank to call for risk management solutions for our Italian clients
- Develop yourself towards a senior sales role
Key responsibilities
- Actively cover a portfolio of 30-40 wholesale clients
- Analysis of client needs/risks and develop and present tailored risk management strategies
- Execute transactions, including hedge coordination mandates and syndicated deals within risk framework
- Identify opportunities in your portfolio for Commodities and Foreign Exchange derivative business
Strongly cooperating with the Solutions NL team, the Solutions Europe team focuses on delivering event driven hedge transactions with clients in Italy, France, Spain, Portugal, Ireland, the Nordics, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium and Luxembourg. We aim to be the bank of choice for event driven hedging transactions, while also growing the flow business (IRD, FX/MM and Commodities) with our clients. Winning Hedge Coordination mandates and being involved in Capital Markets related hedging transactions are a key part of the job. Within Europe, we focus on clients that fit the bank's broader Banking for Food and Banking for the Energy Transition strategy.

The 30 sales people in CRTM Europe & Africa serve the bank's wholesale corporate clients in the E&A region for all their financial risk management needs. CRTM E&A is part of Global Sales team with 96 FTEs. Future steps to other regions is something that we offer as well.

You and your talent
- Bachelor or Master degree in Finance, Business Administration or other relevant education
- A minimum of 5 years relevant working experience within a Corporate Treasury department or with the Markets Division of a financial institution
- Fluent in English and
Italian
- Vast knowledge of Interest Rate and FX Products and experience with event driven transactions, such as Hedge Coordination, Deal Contingent Hedging and Capital Markets related hedge transactions (pre-hedges, cross currency swaps)
- Basic knowledge of Commodity products and hedging strategies is considered a benefit
- Preferably you bring relations with Italian corporate clients
- Willing and able to frequently travel to Italy, and from time to time other European countries
- Willing to relocate to The Netherlands

- We are open for a more junior candidate, depending on your experience, the role is in global pay grade scale 9 or 10
